This is a catalog of precise relocations of earthquakes surrounding the 2022 Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha-apai Volcanic Eruption. These were generated using using surface-wave double-difference measurements, and relative magnitudes were computed between events. For details of the methodology used to produce this catalog, and the interpretation of these data, see the Seismological Research Letter publication "High-Precision Characterization of Seismicity from the 2022 Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha-apai Volcanic Eruption". Locations use the WGS 1984 Datum. One comma-separated table is provided in this data release, relocations.csv, which is a summary of the relocation magnitude analysis. It includes 18 columns: Column 1 (time):...

In summer 2018, the U.S. Geological Survey partnered with the U.S Department of Energy and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management to conduct the Mid-Atlantic Resources Imaging Experiment (MATRIX) as part of the U.S. Geological Survey Gas Hydrates Project. The field program objectives were to acquire high-resolution 2-dimensional multichannel seismic-reflection and split-beam echosounder data along the U.S Atlantic margin between North Carolina and New Jersey to determine the distribution of methane gas hydrates in below-sea floor sediments and investigate potential connections between gas hydrate dynamics and sea floor methane seepage. MATRIX field work was carried out between August 8 and August 28, 2018 on the...

Images were collected using an unmanned aerial system over the bluffs of eastern shore of Lake Michigan in Miami Park rural residential area, Allegan County, MI. Images were collected in four separate instances on July 9, August 10, September 1, and October 18, 2019 and cover similar extent. Images were collected to monitor active bluff erosion in the area. The images are presented here in zipped files grouped by month and collection. The images were collected in jpg format and include Exif metadata with GPS date, time, and latitude and longitude, copyright, keywords, and other fields. These files were used in structure-from-motion (SfM) processing to obtain georeferenced 3D data.

This data release pertains to the December 20, 2021, Petrolia, California, United States earthquake sequence. Data are provided in the input formats required for the Wavelet and simulated Annealing SliP (WASP) finite-fault inversion code (https://github.com/slipinversion/WASP). This includes broadband seismic data, local strong-motion accelerometer data, and the static offsets from Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) used in the finite fault inversion. Figures describing the output are also included. (Child Item: GNSS Data and Finite Fault Modeling) Also included is a high-resolution earthquake catalog surrounding the region. The catalog was produced using cross-correlations and relative relocations. (Child...
