These data are high-resolution bathymetry (riverbed elevation) in compressed LAS (*.laz) format, generated from the July 17–19, 2023, hydrographic survey of Bubbly Creek and various sidings, harbors, and turning basins on the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal (CS&SC) in Cook County, Illinois. The survey includes all Bubbly Creek from the confluence with the CS&SC in the north to the Racine Avenue Pump station in the south; various sidings and turning basins along the CS&SC between Kedzie Avenue and South Halsted Street; and the Marine Safety Station harbor near the Chicago Harbor Lock on Lake Michigan. This survey is a continuation and enhancement of the bathymetric survey of the CS&SC in Cook County, Illinois, conducted...

These data are high-resolution bathymetry (riverbed elevation) and depth-averaged velocities in comma-delimited table format, generated from hydrographic and velocimetric surveys near highway bridge structures over the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers near St. Louis, Missouri, August 3–10, 2020. Hydrographic data were collected using a high-resolution multibeam echosounder mapping system (MBMS), which consists of a multibeam echosounder (MBES) and an inertial navigation system (INS) mounted on a marine survey vessel. Data were collected as the vessel traversed the river along planned survey lines distributed throughout the reach. Data collection software integrated and stored the depth data from the MBES and the...

These data are currently under revision and will be available again in a few weeks. Please check back in April 2019 or contact Richard J Huizinga for more information. These data are high-resolution bathymetry (riverbed elevation) in ASCII format, generated from hydrographic surveys near six highway bridge structures over the Gasconade River in central Missouri. These sites were surveyed in June 2017 to help identify possible effects from extreme flooding on May 1-2, 2017. At the five downstream sites, hydrographic data were collected using a high-resolution multibeam echosounder mapping system (MBMS), which consists of a multibeam echosounder (MBES) and an inertial navigation system (INS) mounted on a marine survey...

These data are high-resolution bathymetry (riverbed elevation) and depth-averaged velocities in ASCII format, generated from hydrographic and velocimetric surveys near highway bridge structures over the Missouri River in Kansas City, Missouri, in August 2019, as well as special surveys at two of the sites in August and October 2020 before and after installation of scour countermeasures. Hydrographic data were collected using a high-resolution multibeam echosounder mapping system (MBMS), which consists of a multibeam echosounder (MBES) and an inertial navigation system (INS) mounted on a marine survey vessel. These data are high-resolution bathymetry (riverbed elevation) in compressed LAS (*.laz) format, generated from the July 17–18, 2023, hydrographic survey of the North Branch Chicago River and North Shore Channel in Cook County, Illinois. The survey extends from near the North Avenue Turning Basin and Goose Island in the south, upstream to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) Wilmette Pumping station in the north. The survey is a continuation of the bathymetric survey of the Chicago River and Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal (CS&SC) in Cook County, Illinois, conducted August 22–24, 2022 (Huizinga and Rivers, 2023). These data also include an ultra-high resolution resurvey of a large sunken vessel discovered...

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers–-Little Rock District (SWL) Civil Works program has a mission to maintain cohesion between physical and naturally developed environments. Evaluation of shoreline stability and adjacent development of a harbor along the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System at River Mile 202.6 is essential in establishing a baseline for potential impacts and future monitoring of the proposed harbor. A combination of multibeam sonar and high-resolution, low-altitude aerial light detection and ranging (lidar) data were used to provide data and analysis needed for as-built information and future monitoring of river shoreline and floodplain management and maintenance. In October 2021, the...
