This layer represents the number of Tier 1 fish species known to occur in each HUC10 watershed in the state, according to data available in CPW’s fish database as of December 2014. There are 25 fish species on the Tier 1 SGCN list; a maximum of eight different species occur in the same watershed. This map is an indicator of species richness only; it does not consider relative habitat quality, or population metrics such as density or abundance, across watersheds.

The National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) is a feature-based database that interconnects and uniquely identifies the stream segments or reaches that make up the nation's surface water drainage system. NHD data was originally developed at 1:100,000-scale and exists at that scale for the whole country. This high-resolution NHD, generally developed at 1:24,000/1:12,000 scale, adds detail to the original 1:100,000-scale NHD. (Data for Alaska, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands was developed at high-resolution, not 1:100,000 scale.) Local resolution NHD is being developed where partners and data exist. The NHD contains reach codes for networked features, flow direction, names, and centerline representations for areal water...

This data set is a complete digital hydrologic unit boundary layer to the Watershed (8-digit) 1st th level for the state of Wyoming. The data set was developed by digitizing watershed boundary lines using 1:24,000 Enhanced Digital Raster Graphics (DRG-E) geo-referenced topographic image base maps and 1:100,000-scale draft boundary lines. The National Elevation Dataset (NED) was used to produce the 1:100,000-scale preliminary draft boundaries. This data set was produced by dissolving the 6th level subbasins based on 4th level codes. Only the name field of the 4th level watershed was mainted in the dissolve.

The Desert Landscape Conservation Cooperative Watersheds Map shows hydrographic features including watersheds, streams and lakes at a regional scale. The files provided are graphic design files that can be used to plot a publication-quality, poster-size map. The USGS National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) is a comprehensive set of digital spatial data that encodes information about naturally occurring and constructed bodies of surface water (lakes, ponds, and reservoirs), paths through which water flows (canals, ditches, streams, and rivers), and related entities such as point features (springs, wells, stream gages, and dams). The information encoded about these features includes classification and other characteristics, delineation, geographic name, position and related measures, a "reach code" through which other information can be related to the NHD, and the direction of water flow. The network of reach codes delineating water and transported material flow allows users...

This product contains 1,297 watershed boundaries for water quality study sites of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Water Quality Program (NWQP) Surface Water Trends project. These include sites where water quality information was collected by both USGS and non-USGS agencies. The data consist of 1,285 boundaries in the conterminous United States, and 12 in Puerto Rico. Twenty-seven percent of boundaries were assembled from other efforts within the USGS which are using the same sites, and 73 percent of boundaries were created new for this project. The data are posted as a single shapefile with separate polygons for each boundary.

This data set is a complete digital hydrologic unit boundary layer of the Subbasin (10-digit) 5th level for the entire United States, clipped to the Northeast. A hydrologic unit (HU) is a drainage area delineated to nest a multi-level, hierarchical drainage system. Its boundaries are defined by a hydrographic and topographic criteria that delineate an area of land upstream from a specific point on a river, stream, or similar surfaces waters. An HU can accept surface water directly from upstream drainage areas, and indirectly from associated surface areas such as remnant, non-contributing, and diversions to form a drainage area with single or multiple outlet points. HUs are only synonymous with classic watersheds...

This product consists of 29 datasets of tabular data and associated metadata for watershed characteristics of 1,530 study sites of the Surface Water Trends (SWT) project of the U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) National Water Quality Program (NWQP). The project is conducting national studies of trends in water quality of streams and rivers for periods ranging from 10 to 40 years, between 1972 and 2012. The data here include both static and time-series characteristics. Static data include primarily physical characteristics which have changed little over this period, such as geology, soils, and topography. Time-series data represent characteristics which may or may not have changed over time, such as land use, agricultural...

Aquatic Ecological Focus Areas were based on The Nature Conservancy’s priority streams and by the Special Aquatic Life Use streams defined by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, with some exclusions based on expert opinion. The selected streams were buffered by 100 m; 12-digit HUCs that intersect the buffers comprise the EFAs.
