Proportion of Sagebrush Land Cover (5-km scale) in the western US This map was developed to examine multi-scale spatial relationships between percentage of sagebrush and other response variables of interest. A map of sagebrush in the western United States was used as a base layer for a moving window analysis to calculate the percentage of the area classified as sagebrush within a 5-km search radius. Provides 5-km scale proportion of sagebrush land cover for use in examining multi-scale relationships. All 30-meter EVT grids were resampled to 90-meter grids and merged to create the final product. This map was created for the purpose of providing a coarse-scale perspective on the distribution of existing vegetation in the western United States.
