This sampling frame is a set of grid-based finite-area frames spanning Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The grid for the United States is broken into individual grids for the continental United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Alaska is combined with Canada into a single grid. Each country/state/territory extent consists of four nested sampling grids at 50x50km, 10x10km, 5x5km, and 1x1km resolutions. The original 10x10km continental United States grid was developed by the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture for use in the interagency “Bat Grid” monitoring program in the Pacific Northwest and was expanded across Canada, the United States, and Mexico for the North American Bat Monitoring Program (NABat)....

Monitoring of vitamin B1 (thiamine) in the eggs of lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush) collected from lakes Huron and Michigan has been conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey since the mid-1990’s. The results of this monitoring effort have been used by natural resource management agencies and native American tribes within the Great Lakes basin to evaluate the reproductive health of lake trout. The data in this release are the thiamine concentrations measured in lake trout collected from 1996-2018. Results are reported as total thiamine (nmol/g-egg), collection site, lake, year collected, and reference to the analysis methods.

This dataset contains the physical collection information (e.g., sample location, date, gear type) and microsatellite DNA genotype of egg and larval Lake Sturgeon collected in the St. Clair and Detroit rivers in 2015 and 2016. Individuals were genotyped for 18 microsatellite loci (13 disomic and 5 polysomic). Alleles (base pair sizes) were recorded as presence absence scores (1:present, 2:absent, 0:missing data) for all previously observed alleles. Thus individual genotypes were recorded as pseudo diploid dominant phenotypes resulting in individual vectors of length n=205 for each genotyped egg or larval individual.

This dataset is three comma-separated values (csv) files containing fish haul information collected during trawl surveys in the Chukchi Sea during the 9 August - 3 September 2015 Arctic Marine Biodiversity Observing Network (AMBON) research cruise. Tables describe haul event information, species occurrence per haul, and fish morphometric information. Fish were collected with a plump-staff beam trawl and Isaac-Kidds midwater trawl, identified to species, and their life stage, length, and weight were measured and recorded. The data was transformed from the native format into a table structure using Darwin Core terms and organized in the OBIS-ENV-DATA format.
These data consists of three related tables describing in-situ field conditions including pesticide concentration, water quality, and post-treatment survival of crayfish associated with the application of a pesticide to a stormwater retention pond and burrows to suppress or eradicate an invasive crayfish species, Procambarus clarkii, in support of high-priority research developing control methods to mitigate impacts of invasive crayfish within the Great Lakes Basin. Effectiveness of the treatment was accessed using an in-situ bioassay and by measuring pesticide concentrations in water, sediment, and caged crayfish. Water quality data, including temperature, pH, specific conductance, dissolved oxygen, alkalinity,...
These data were compiled for evaluating plant water use, or river-reach level evapotranspiration (ET) data, in the unrestored riparian corridor of the Colorado River delta as specified under Minute 319 of the 1944 Water Treaty. Additionally, these data were compiled for evaluating restoration-level data in Reach 2 and Reach 4, as specified under Minute 323 of the 1944 Water Treaty. Objectives of our study were to measure the peak growing season evapotranspiration (ET) for the average of months in summer-fall (May to October) for the seven reaches, for the full riparian corridor, and for four restoration sites, from 2019 through 2022. The seven reach areas from the Northerly International Boundary (NIB) to the end...
The Louisiana State Legislature created Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) in order to conserve, restore, create and enhance Louisiana's coastal wetlands. The wetland restoration plans developed pursuant to these acts specifically require an evaluation of the effectiveness of each coastal wetlands restoration project in achieving long-term solutions to arresting coastal wetlands loss. This data set includes mosaicked aerial photographs for the Delta Wide Crevasses (MR-09) project for 2001. This data is used as a basemap land-water classification. It also serves as a visual tool for project managers to help them identify any obvious problems or land loss within their project boundary....

Understanding how ecological and cultural resources may change in the future is an important component of conservation planning and for the implementation of long-term environmental monitoring. We modeled six future scenarios of urbanization and sea level rise to investigate their potential effects on the Peninsular Florida Landscape Conservation Cooperative's Priority Resources (PFLCC 2016), which were identified as important for conservation through a cooperative multi-partner effort to prioritize conservation efforts on a state-wide scale. These data represent conservation targets for the High Pine and Scrub at present, and under six future scenarios of sea level rise and urbanization.

This data set includes mosaicked aerial photographs for two projects: The Bayou Dupont Sediment Delivery - Marsh Creation #3 and Terracing (BA-0164) and Mississippi River Long Distance Sediment Pipeline (BA-0043-EB) Marsh Creation project for 2018. This data is used as a basemap land-water classification....

This dataset describes incubation recess timing for mallard and gadwall hens nesting in Grizzly Island Wildlife Area in breeding seasons 2015-2017. It includes the start time, end time, and duration of recesses. This data supports the following publication: Croston, R., Hartman, C.A., Herzog, M.P., Casazza, M.L., Feldheim, C.L. and Ackerman, J.T., 2020. Timing, frequency, and duration of incubation recesses in dabbling ducks. Ecology and Evolution. https://doi.org/10.1002/ece3.6078.

This dataset includes Gross Primary Production (GPP) estimates at 46 agricultural streams around the United States. GPP values are based upon the single-station dissolved oxygen method with data collected at 5-min intervals over a 24-hour period. GPP data is presented as grams dissolved oxygen per meter square per day.
