The endangered Cape Sable seaside sparrow (Ammospiza maritima mirabilis; CSSS) occurs in marl prairie habitat at the southern end of the Everglades, at the southernmost part of the Florida peninsula. The locations of three of its six subpopulations are proximate to the coast, putting them at risk for inundation caused by sea level rise (SLR). This dataset is a digital surface of depth-averaged flow velocities for six sites where known rock structures exist in the St. Croix River. Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP) are used to measure how fast water is moving across an entire water column. We developed a LiDAR-based habitat model for the threatened Marbled Murrelet (MAMU) in the Siuslaw National Forest, Oregon, using a two-step approach. First, we tested the applicability of the LiDAR-based model developed for the Coos Bay District of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to the Siuslaw N.F. In the second step, we tested alternative habitat models developed with forest structural data and Murrelet survey data from the Siuslaw N.F. We compared the performance of each model to provide forest managers with the best predictive tool to guide habitat management for the Marbled Murrelet. This dataset describes the diameter, shape, settling velocity, and specific gravity of eggs from 9 female pallid sturgeon and 14 female shovelnose sturgeon as determined in laboratory studies. Pallid sturgeon and shovelnose sturgeon are believed to broadcast demersal eggs in the current, near the river bed over coarse substrate. It is hypothesized that eggs settle immediately following fertilization, but field conditions preclude direct observation. The dispersal of sturgeon eggs is affected by physical properties of the eggs and hydraulic conditions at the spawning location.

Hawaiian hoary bats ('ōpe'ape'a; Lasiurus semotus) were surveyed at 23 sites on Hawaiʻi Island from 33 to 2,341 m elevation from May 2018 to August 2021. Of the 23 sites, 8 were established as fixed survey sites for sampling at repeated intervals from January 2019 through January 2021. We surveyed each fixed site at least once per four month period (January–April, May–August, September–December), with a survey comprising one to three netting events. ‘Ōpe‘ape‘a (Hawaiian hoary bats; Lasiurus semotus) were surveyed at 23 sites on Hawaiʻi Island from 33 to 2,341 m elevation from May 2018 to August 2021. Bats were captured using mist nets; once detangled from mist nets, bats were secured in cloth holding bags for up to 10 min before collecting age, sex, reproductive condition, mass, forearm length, and biological samples and marking individuals with split ring bands and attaching very high frequency (VHF) radio transmitters.
