Raw data were collected in Shenandoah National Park during summer 2012. Air and temperature data were collected using temperature loggers at several stations throughout the park. These data were used in the publication of the manuscript "Accounting for groundwater influence on headwater stream thermal sensitivity to climate change" through the journal Ecological Applications. Water temperature data were collected at all 78 reach locations during the summer of 2012 (23 June–7 September). Temperature was measured every hour with a logger.

This data represents a depiction of the Depth to Initial Ground Water for the state of Wyoming (excluding Yellowstone National Park) at a 100 meter cell resolution, 1:100,000 scale. The data was created by using Kriging to interpolate a smooth surface between known data points obtained from the Wyoming State Engineer's Office well permit records at various years.

This dataset represents an aquifer sensitivity rating for depth to initial ground water in the State of Wyoming. This dataset is specifically to be used within a DRASTIC-type aquifer sensitivity/vulnerability analysis. The dataset is in raster format with 100 meter cell size. For more details about this dataset, please refer to this report: Hamerlinck, J.D. and Arneson, C.S., editors, 1998, Wyoming Ground-Water Vulnerability Assessment Handbook: Volume 1. Background, Model Development, and Aquifer Sensitivity Analysis: Wyoming Geographic Information Science Center Publication WyGISC 98-01-1, University of Wyoming, Laramie, WY.

This dataset represents ground water vulnerability to pesticides for Wyoming at 1:100,000-scale. For further information about this layer which was produced by the Wyoming Ground Water Vulnerability Mapping Project refer to: Hamerlinck, J.D., and Arneson, C.S., editors, 1998, Wyoming Ground Water Vulnerability Assessment Handbook: Volume 2. This data set is a national map of predicted probability of nitrate contamination of shallow ground waters based on a logistic regression (LR) model. The LR model was used to predict the probability of nitrate contamination exceeding 4 mg/L in predominantly shallow, recently recharged ground waters of the United States. The model contains variables representing (1) nitrogen (N) fertilizer loading, (2) percent cropland-pasture, (3) natural log of human population density, (4) percent well-drained soils, (5) depth to the seasonally high water table, and (6) presence or absence of unconsolidated sand and gravel aquifers. Observed and average predicted probabilities associated with deciles of risk are well correlated...

This data represents a depiction of the Depth to Initial Ground Water for the state of Wyoming at a 500 meter cell resolution, 1:500000 scale. The data was created by using Kriging to interpolate a smooth surface between known data points obtained from the Wyoming State Engineer's Office well permit records at various years.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is providing an online map of water level measurements in the Lloyd and North Shore aquifers on Long Island, New York, April-May 2013. USGS serves this map and geospatial data as a REST Open Map Service (as well as HTTP, JSON, KML, and shapefile), so end-users can use the map and data on mobile and web clients. A companion report, U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Map 3326 (Como and others, 2015; http://dx.doi.org/10.3133/sim3326) further describes data collection and map preparation and presents 68x22 in. PDF versions, 4 sheets, scale 1:125,000. This point shapefile consists of digital points that represent water level altitudes in the Lloyd and...

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is providing online maps of water-table and potentiometric-surface altitude in the upper glacial, Magothy, Jameco, Lloyd, and North Shore aquifers on Long Island, New York, April–May 2016. Also provided is a depth-to-water map for Long Island, New York, April–May 2016. The USGS makes these maps and geospatial data available as REST Open Map Services (as well as HTTP, JSON, KML, and shapefile), so end-users can consume them on mobile and web clients. A companion report, U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Map 3398 (Como and others, 2018; https://doi.org/10.3133/sim3398) further describes data collection and map preparation and presents 68x22 in.
