This is a dataset containing the first and second record of georeferenced observations of introduced and invasive vascular plant species in the contiguous United States (CONUS). Non-native plant species were identified using the United States Register of Introduced and Invasive Species (US-RIIS) list. After identifying a list of plants non-native to CONUS, we obtained presence data from aggregated occurrence databases, ensuring the occurrences we acquired were georeferenced (i.e., had coordinate information) and had an observation year recorded. Amphibians and reptiles (herpetofauna) have been linked to specific microhabitat characteristics, microclimates, and water resources in riparian forests. Our objective was to relate variation in herpetofauna abundance to changes in habitat caused by a beetle used for Tamarix biocontrol (Diorhabda carinulata; Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) and riparian restoration. Wyoming Big Sagebrush communities with degraded or absent herbaceous vegetation occupy vast expanses of the western United States and contribute to sage-grouse population decline. Annual grasses are invading these sagebrush systems and replacing perennial grasses and forbs. Unfortunately, little is understood about restoring degraded sagebrush community understories. Hydrodynamic and sediment transport time-series data, including water depth, velocity, turbidity, conductivity, and temperature, were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center at three locations in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. This dataset presents the results of analysis of aquatic biota tissue samples, collected over multiple sampling events from in from 2007 to 2014 at three sites (Las Vegas Bay, Overton Arm, and Boulder Basin) in Lake Mead National Recreational Area. This page contains results from 304 Fluvial Egg Drift Simulator (FluEgg; version 4.1.1) simulations of invasive carp eggs and larvae in the Maumee River, Ohio, under unsteady flow conditions. FluEgg models the drift and dispersion of eggs and larvae in fluvial environments. The eggs develop, changing in size and density, and eventually hatch into larvae. The simulations end when the larvae reach the gas bladder inflation stage or when the set duration of the simulation is exceeded (whichever comes first). FluEgg requires the user to provide hydraulic data to drive the drift model. The U.S. Geological Survey simulated the drift and dispersal of invasive carp eggs and larvae in the Maumee River, Ohio, using the Fluvial Egg Drift Simulator (FluEgg) (Garcia and others, 2013; Domanski, 2020). The hydraulic inputs used in the FluEgg simulations were generated using a one-dimensional Hydrologic Engineering Center-River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) 5.0.7 model of the Maumee River (HEC-RAS, 2020). HEC-RAS simulations and FluEgg simulations were run for both steady and unsteady flow conditions. Observations and subtle shifts of vegetation communities in Lake Erie have USGS researchers concerned about the potential for Grass Carp to alter these vegetation communities. Broad-scale surveys of vegetation using remote sensing and GIS mapping, coupled with on-the-ground samples in key locations will permit assessment of the effect Grass Carp may have already had on aquatic vegetation communities and establish baseline conditions for assessing future effects. Existing aerial imagery was used with object-based image analysis to detect and map aquatic vegetation in the eastern basin of Lake Erie.

Data fall into three types: 1) individual snake scanning data (PIT tag ID, time stamp, and device) downloaded from readers, 2) individual trait data (sex, size, etc) of tested brown treesnakes, and 3) detailed transcripts of videos of behavioral trial data as snakes interacted with the readers. All data were collected in an experimental arena in Dededo, Guam in August 2021.

Remote sensing technologies, such as high-resolution sonar, can be used to collect more detailed information about the benthic characteristics of macro habitats in the Illinois River. Multibeam echosounders collect multibeam and sidescan simultaneously, providing high-resolution images of the riverbed. Sidescan images, in raster format, show the recorded intensity of acoustic signal returns from the riverbed. The acoustic data were collected from the East Pit of the Hanson Pits (where accessible) of the Marseilles reach June 27, 2018, and August 25, 2020.

The entire study plan will consist of data collection and analysis of the Brandon, Dresden, Starved Rock, Marseilles, Peoria, La Grange and Alton reaches of the Illinois River. Reaches with larger aquatic areas (Peoria, La Grange and Alton), will have priority areas and backwaters collected and analyzed first.
