This map represents a potential Conservation Target (CT) for PFLCC's 'Pine Flatwoods and Dry Prairie' (PFDP) Priority Resource (PR). The potential CT is Landscape Configuration. . This layer was created for an initial investigation of potential CT's suggested at brainstorming workshops. The initial investigation entails locating available datasets to address the suggested CT as closely as possible and performing minimal analyses to determine their usefulness. The final set of CT's and their associated datasets will be chosen after targets (e.g., endpoints) are established as a threshold for achieving a conservation success for that CT. The available data layer to address landscape configuration is CLIP 4.0 core...

This GIS dataset is part of a suite of wildlife habitat connectivity data produced by the Washington Wildlife Habitat Connectivity Working Group (WHCWG). The WHCWG is a voluntary public-private partnership between state and federal agencies, universities, tribes, and non-governmental organizations. The WHCWG is co-led by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and the Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT). This dataset quantifies current wildlife habitat connectivity patterns for the Columbia Plateau Ecoregion in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Available WHCWG raster data include model base layers, resistance, habitat, cost-weighted distance, and landscape integrity. Grid cell size is 90 m...

Measures of ecological integrity are increasingly being used to monitor and evaluate the status and condition of their landscapes, and numerous methods have been developed to map the pattern of human activities. The ‘Human Modification – Transboundary (HMT)’ model is designed to provide a comprehensive, but parsimonious approach, that uses several stressor/threats datasets to estimate level of human modification. There are three important elements that define the HM approach: (a) the human modification stressors and their data sources (b) the measurement unit used for each stressor, and (c) the method used to combine the effects of multiple stressors into an overall score of human modification. The way in which...

This layer depicts a potential Conservation Target for PFLCC's Priority Resource: Freshwater Aquatics. The potential Conservation Target is the Connectivity of the Freshwater Aquatics. The layer was created using a 300-m buffer around the Priority Resource to mask the Landscape Integrity layer of CLIP 4.0 to depict the landscape surrounding the PR. This map was created during an initial investigation of data availability and usefulness for developing final Conservation Targets.
