This dataset tabulates input data for simulations of undiscovered copper resources in porphyry copper deposits that were done using the EMINERS computer program (Duval, J.S., 2012, Version 3.0 of EMINERS—Economic Mineral Resource Simulator: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 2004–1344, http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2004/1344) as part of a global mineral resource assessment. A three-dimensional hydrogeologic framework model (3D HFM) of the westernmost western Snake River Plain (WSRP) aquifer system was prepared to represent the subsurface distribution and thickness of four hydrogeologic units. The primary source of data for the 3D HFM was lithologic data from a total of 291 well-driller reports. These data were then processed using Rockware Rockworks17 three-dimensional modeling software. This dataset consists of five comma-delineated CSV files containing well information: location, lithology, well construction, aquifer, and comments. It is one of three related datasets.

In response to the growing demand for information on the global mineral-resource base, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) completed assessments for undiscovered resources of selected types of mineral deposits (https://minerals.usgs.gov/global). This package contains data in a portion of northern Nevada, the extent of the ‘Nevada Machine Learning Project’ (DE-EE0008762). Slip tendency (TS) and dilation tendency (TD) were calculated for the all the faults in the Nevada ML study area. TS is the ratio between the shear components of the stress tensor and the normal components of the stress tensor acting on a fault plane. TD is the ratio of all the components of the stress tensor that are normal to a fault plane. Faults with higher TD are relatively more likely to dilate and host open, conductive fractures. This data release contains all digital geographic data used and produced by the Snake River Plain Play Fairway Analysis (DE EE0006733) for Phase 1 (ArcGIS shapefiles and raster files) as well as the model processing script, tables, and documentation used to generate data outputs. This data release contains predictions of stream biological condition as defined by the Chesapeake basin-wide index of biotic integrity for stream macroinvertebrates (Chessie BIBI) using Random Forest models with landscape data for small streams (≤ 200 km2 in upstream drainage) across the Chesapeake Bay Watershed (CBW). Predictions were made at eight time periods (2001, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2016, and 2019) according to changes in landcover using the National Land Cover Database (NLCD). This package contains gravity and magnetics data and products generated for the Nevada Machine Learning (NVML) project (DE-FOA-0001956). Data products contained in this release consist of grids and vector data. Grids include: primary anomaly maps (isostatic and PSG), match-filtered maps, horizontal gradient (HG) maps, confidence maps, and maps showing density of specific key structural features. The vector data in this release include the gravity stations, HGM of gravity and magnetics, ‘generalized’ lineations for gravity and magnetics, gravity and magnetic lineation terminations and intersections, and ‘well-constrained’ HGM saddles.

This dataset tabulates randomized simulation results for amounts of copper in metric tons in 163 permissive tracts for undiscovered porphyry copper deposits. The data from the child item Simulation results_sorted.csv for each permissive are randomized to allow aggregation of regional and global data using an assumption of statistical independence. This was done by generating a column of 4,999 random numbers and resorting the 4,999 sorted simulations by those random numbers.
