The NHDPlus Version 1.0 is an integrated suite of application-ready geospatial data sets that incorporate many of the best features of the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) and the National Elevation Dataset (NED). The National Land Cover Database (NLCD) is a land cover monitoring program providing land cover information for the United States. NLCD2016 extended temporal coverage to 15 years (2001–2016). We collected land cover reference data for the 2011 and 2016 nominal dates to report land cover accuracy for the NLCD2016 database 2011 and 2016 land cover components. We measured land cover accuracy at Level II and Level I, and change accuracy at Level I. For both the 2011 and 2016 land cover components, single-date Level II overall accuracies (OA) were 72% (standard error of ±0.9%) when agreement was defined as match between the map label and primary reference label only and 86% (± 0.7%) when agreement also included the alternate...
As part of the next generation NLCD 2016 mapping process, the NLCD research team developed a suite of intermediate products that were used to generate the final NLCD Land Cover products. Some of those products also have value as independent products and are provided here. Please read the product descriptions to understand what the product represents. Fragmentation extent of six ecosystem types after European Settlement was analyzed using LANDFIRE data. The ecosystem types includes: Grassland, Shrubland, Conifer, Riparian, Hardwood and Sparse ecosystems. The land use change and fragmentation extents have been analyzed by delineating nine Greater Wildland Ecosystems (GWEs) across NCCSC.

The Gulf Coastal Plains and Ozarks (GCPO) Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC) has conducted an ecological assessment of various landscape characteristics, or endpoints, outlined in the LCC Integrated Science Agenda. This data layer addresses the forested wetland amount desired landscape endpoint for the forested wetland ecosystem in the Mississippi Alluvial Valley subgeography of the GCPO LCC. This data was created by reclassification of the 2011 National Land Cover Dataset (NLCD) to pull out only the woody wetlands class (90) from the NLCD dataset.

The dataset was generated for the South Central Plains EPA level III ecoregion which extends through eastern Texas, northwestern Louisiana, southwest Arkansas, and a small portion of southeastern Oklahoma covering approximately 15.2 ha. Contained in the data set are land change causes that occurred between 2001 to 2006 such as forest harvest, surficial mining, and cropland expansion. Only those pixels (30-meter resolution) that have changed during the time period have their cause classified, otherwise no change is indicated between 2001 and 2006. Abstract To aid in parameterization of mechanistic, statistical, and machine learning models of hydrologic systems in the contiguous United States (CONUS), flow-conditioned parameter grids (FCPGs) have been generated describing upstream basin mean elevation, slope, land cover class, latitude, and 30-year climatologies of mean total annual precipitation, minimum daily air temperature, and maximum daily air temperature. Additional datasets of upstream basin area and binary stream presence-absence are provided to help validate queries against the flow-conditioned data.
