We integrated 250-m enhanced Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (eMODIS) Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) with land cover, biogeophysical (e.g., soils, topography) and climate data into regression-tree software (Cubist®). We integrated this data to create a time series of spatially explicit predictions of herbaceous annual vegetation cover in sagebrush ecosystems, with an emphasis on annual grasses. Annual grass cover in sagebrush ecosystems is highly variable year-to-year because it is strongly dependent on highly variable weather patterns, particularly precipitation timing and totals. Annual grass cover also reflects past disturbances and management decisions. We produced 17 consecutive...
Climate data for the western 2/3 of the states of Oregon and Washington from the PRISM group (Chris Daly, Oregon State University) at a 30arc second (800m) spatial grain.
Simulated Surface Runoff by the biogeography model MAPSS using PRISM climate. MAPSS (Mapped Atmosphere-Plant-Soil System) is a static biogeography model that projects potential vegetation distribution and hydrological flows on a grid (http://www.databasin.org/climate-center/features/mapss-model). MAPSS has been used widely for various climate change assessments including the 2000 National Assessment Synthesis Team's report. MAPSS uses long term, average monthly climate data (mean monthly temperature, vapor pressure, wind speed, and precipitation) as well as soils information (texture, depth). Based on a set of climatic thresholds, the model defines the following plant functional types: evergreen needleleaf or...
This coverage contains data representing areas (polygons) of Average Temperature for the period 1971-2000. The data has been converted from grids to polygons. Data can be accessed through the Geospatial Data Gateway http://datagateway.nrcs.usda.gov/.

This dataset depicts the Difference of Average Annual Average Precipitation for 2045-2060 compared to 1968-1999 for GFDL. These data have been generated using a regional climate model called RegCM3 using boundary conditions from observations or general circulation models for historical conditions, and from GCM projections for future conditions. Regional climate model description: RegCM3 is the third generation of the Regional Climate Model originally developed at the National Center for Atmospheric Research during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Details on current model components and applications of the model can be found in numerous publications (e.g., Giorgi et al, 2004a,b, Pal et al, 2007), the ICTP RegCNET...
This tabular data set represents PRISM 30-year average Potential Evapotranspiration, 1971-2000 compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data for the PRISM 30-year average Potential Evapotranspiration, 1971-2000 was produced by Hamon, 1961; DiLuzio and others, 2008. Units are millimeters per year. It should be noted this data set is discontinued and available only by contacting the PRISM Group at Oregon State University directly....

These tabular data sets represent mean 30 year (1971-2000) monthly temperature (degrees Celsius) data from 800 meter resolution PRISM for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2.1 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data for mean monthly temperature (degrees Celsius) from 800 meter resolution resolution PRISM data was produced by the PRISM Group at Oregon State University. Units are degrees degrees Celsius. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach...
