Intense rainfall during the 10-day period of March 8-17, 2021 resulted in flooding, landslides, property damage, and road closures across the State of Hawaii. The islands of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and Maui are known to have been affected. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) operates 71 real-time stream-gaging stations and 49 peak-streamflow gaging stations on these islands. This data release contains a summary of provisional peak-streamflow information from selected gaging stations during March 8-17, 2021, in relation to the historic record. This data release may be revised and updated as additional data are collected and analyzed.

This dataset is a combination of annual Probability of Streamflow Permanence (PROSPER) predictions, Northwest Stream Temperature (NorWeST) predictions of monthly mean stream temperatures for August of each year, and predicted monthly streamflow discharge for stream reaches in the Pacific Northwest from the USGS database of natural monthly streamflow estimates, U.S., 2004-2015. The PROSPER model provides predictions of the annual probability of a 30-meter stream segment maintaining year-round streamflow. The NorWeST model provides annual predictions of monthly mean stream temperature for August for 1-kilometer stream segments. These data were compiled to predict hourly Glen Canyon Dam operations and hydropower impacts. The objective of our study was to estimate hydropower impacts under different future LTEMP sEIS alternatives. These data represent hourly outflow in cubic feet per second, generation in megawatt hours, and economic value of hydropower in nominal dollars. These data were created for operations at Glen Canyon Dam for October 2023 through November 2027. These data were created by the U.S. Geological Survey, Southwest Biological Science Center, Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Cetner using mathematical modeling methods.

The High Resolution National Hydrography Dataset Plus (NHDPlus HR) is an integrated set of geospatial data layers, including the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), National Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD), and 3D Elevation Program Digital Elevation Model (3DEP DEM). The NHDPlus HR combines the NHD, 3DEP DEMs, and WBD to a data suite that includes the NHD stream network with linear referencing functionality, the WBD hydrologic units, elevation-derived catchment areas for each stream segment, "value added attributes" (VAAs), and other features that enhance hydrologic data analysis and routing.

This data release contains model code and input data for, and predictions from, both a dynamic stream dissolved solids and a static baseflow dissolved solids SPARROW (SPAtially Referenced Regression On Watershed attributes) model of the Upper Colorado River Basin for water years 1986-2017. Input data includes information on dissolved solids sources, landscape transport characteristics, and dissolved solids load calibration data from water quality monitoring stations. Model output includes predictions for every reach of total and incremental predicted loads and total and incremental loads from each source. This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release contains the code, data, executables, and other information necessary to run the application Unit Flows in Networks of Channels (UFINCH). This data release contains a comma-delimited ascii file of nine same-day, discrete discharge measurements made at sites along selected reaches of Pi'ina'au Stream, Maui, Hawai'i on June 25, 2021. Modeling streamflow is an important approach for understanding landscape-scale drivers of flow and estimating flows where there are no streamgage records. It provides technical and financial assistance to private landowners and Tribes to restore, protect, and enhance wetlands in exchange for retiring eligible land from agriculture.
