This map service is an information surface which displays what percentage of the soil map unit is subject to water being ponded on the soil surface. Each soil map unit polygon falls into one of the following classes according to NRCS: 0-14%, 15-49%, 50-74% or 75-100%. Esri is providing NRCS SSURGO content here without modification except for some cartography and publishing necessary to facilitate esri user access to these data. Of course, esri will continue to update this inform This map service is an information surface which displays what percentage of the soil map unit is subject to water being ponded on the soil surface. This map presents land cover and detailed topographic maps for the United States. It uses the USA Topographic Map service. The map includes the National Park Service (NPS) Natural Earth physical map at 1.24km per pixel for the world at small scales, i-cubed eTOPO 1:250,000-scale maps for the contiguous United States at medium scales, and National Geographic TOPO! 1:100,000 and 1:24,000-scale maps (1:250,000 and 1:63,000 in Alaska) for the United States at large scales. The TOPO! maps are seamless, scanned images of United States Geological Survey (USGS) paper topographic maps.
This map service is an information surface representing the maximum class within the soil map unit polygon for flooding frequency probability. Each component (and therefore soil map unit polygon) falls into one of the following classes according to NRCS: None, Very rare, Rare, Occasional, Frequent, and Very frequent. This service reports the significant component (making up at least 15% of the map unit) with the maximum flooding frequency probability class. Another service exists for flooding frequency class which reports the dominant class in the soil map unit. The concept is similar but for some cases knowing the dominant flooding frequency component may be a more useful information surface. Esri is providing...

This map service contains summaries of habitat condition indices (HCI scores) from the National Fish Habitat Action Plan (NFHAP) 2010 assessment for Ecological Drainage Units (EDUs) in the Conterminous United States. Initial HCI scores were developed using landscape factors representing human disturbances summarized to local and network catchments of river reaches throughout the Conterminous United States. Habitat condition scores were based on responsiveness of biological metrics to anthropogenic landscape disturbances throughout ecoregions. Separate scores were created by considering disturbances within local catchments, network catchments, and a cumulative score that accounted for the most limiting disturbance...

This map service contains summaries of habitat condition indices (HCI scores) from the National Fish Habitat Action Plan (NFHAP) 2010 National Assessments for 8 digit Hydrological Unit Codes (HUC8s) of the United States. Initial HCI scores were developed in three separate assessments (Conterminous U.S., Hawaii, and Alaska) due to differences in data availability across these regions. In the initial NFHAP 2010 Alaska assessment HCI values were attributed to HUC12s. For this reason, to summarize data into HUC8s for Alaska an area-weighted average was used (i.e. the cumulative HCI score assigned to each HUC12 within a HUC8 was weighted by reach area using the formula (H1*A1+H2*A2...+HX*AX)/(A1+A2...+AX) where H = HCI...

This map service contains summaries of habitat condition indices (HCI scores) from the National Fish Habitat Action Plan (NFHAP) 2010 National Assessments for 12 digit Hydrological Unit Codes (HUC12s) of the United States. Initial HCI scores were developed in three separate assessments (Conterminous U.S., Hawaii, and Alaska) due to differences in data availability across these regions. In the NFHAP 2010 Alaska assesment HCI values were already attributed to HUC12s. For this reason values for Alaska in this map service are identical to those represented in the Alaska assessment. To summarize data into HUC12s for the Conterminous United States and Hawaii a length-weighted average was used (i.e. the cumulative HCI...

This map service contains GIS data in Web Mercator from the EPA Office of Water for the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) integrated with reach-related information from the USEPA Reach File Version 3.0-Alpha release (RF3-Alpha). This service also includes hydrographic landmark features in NHD. It is available as a WMS, KML, and REST service as well as the native MapServer service.
This map shows the Soil Survey Geographic (SSURGO) by the United States Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service. It also shows data that was developed by the National Cooperative Soil Survey and supersedes the State Soil Geographic (STATSGO) dataset published in 1994. SSURGO digitizing duplicates the original soil survey maps. This level of mapping is designed for use by landowners, townships, and county natural resource planning and management. The user should be knowledgeable of soils data and their characteristics. The smallest scale map shows the Global Soil Regions map by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.
This multi-scale geologic map service is a partial representation of the digital data for the Geologic Map of North America. Geologic units and faults, clipped to the terrestrial extent of North America, are represented here. The major divisions of geologic time (stratigraphic age) are represented with the RGB equivalent of the CMYK color specifications presented in the FGDC Digital Cartographic Standard for Geologic Map Symbolization. Faults are represented with a solid (fault location accurate), dashed (fault location approximate) or dotted (concealed fault) line.
