This is the data archive for the publication Ungulate Migrations of the Western United States, Volume 4 and includes the collection of GIS map files that are mapped and described in the report. These map files are meant to provide a common spatial representation of the mapped migrations and seasonal ranges. This data release provides the means for ungulate migrations to be mapped and planned for across a wide variety of landscapes where they occur. Due to data sharing constraints of participating agencies, not all the files that underlie the mapped migrations included in the report have been released. Data in this archive can be downloaded two ways. To download by individual herd/range, clicking on child item pages...

The dataset accompanies manuscript: "Monitoring off-host winter tick abundance on traditional moose hunting lands" . It is a single table that includes counts of winter tick (Dermacentor albipictus) obtained by a modified flagging technique developed by the Penobscot Nation. The table includes both detection and site covariates used for the data analyses presented in the paper. Data were collected by the University of Massachusetts student Juliana Berube at 20 sites in west and central Massachusetts, USA (WCM), and 11 sites in the White Mountain National Forest and Umbegog National Wildlife Refuge in New Hampshire, USA (WMU). Data were collected from 6 September 2022 – 4 December 2022.

Data in this dataset were collected as a part of the Student Network for Amphibian Pathogen Surveilance (SNAPs) program throughout the United States by undergraduate students in biology or ecology courses as a part of their curriculum. This data was collected in the field by students and sent to the USGS National Wildlife Health Center (NWHC) for testing of two amphibian fungal pathogens, Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd) and Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans (Bs). The dataset includes both the field records of the individual amphibians tested and the results for individuals for Bd and Bs. This is Product Number 209311 of the U.S. Geological Survey Amphibian Research and Monitoring Initiative (ARMI).

This dataset documents histopathological changes in liver, kidney, skeletal muscle and intestine of captive American kestrels (Falco sparverius) exposed to brodifacoum formulations with differing elimination half-lives in target rodents. The toxicity of two brodifacoum formulations with stereoisomers having markedly different elimination half-lives in rats (Formulation A containing the 2 least persistent stereoisomers, Formulation B containing the most persistent stereoisomer) were tested in a 7-day dietary feeding trial. Based on previous kestrel studies using commercially available brodifacoum, Formulations A and B were each provided at 3 dietary concentrations (0.05, 0.1 and 0.5 µg/g diet, 4 kestrels/dose level)...

Multi sequence file (.msf) file used to construct a 28S rRNA phylogenetic tree of species of Euryhelmis and other heterophyid trematodes. Sequences were generated from metacercariae samples at U.S. Geological Survey National Wildlife Health Center (NWHC) and compared for base pair similarities with publicly available sequences from GenBank using BLAST (https://blast.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Blast.cgi). Selection of GenBank sequences to include in the .msf file was based on the number of base pair similarities (94% or higher identity to this study’s sequences), 98–100% coverage AND stage of parasite from which the sequence was generated. An excel file listing all parasites and DNA from NWHC vouchered with the University...
