Phenological dynamics of terrestrial ecosystems reflect the response of the Earth's vegetation canopy to changes in climate and hydrology and are thus important to monitor operationally. National Science Foundation Ice Core Facility

The National Science Foundation Ice Core Facility (NSF-ICF) - formerly the U.S. National Ice Core Laboratory (NICL) - is a facility for storing, curating, and studying meteoric ice cores recovered from glaciated regions of the world. NSF-ICF provides scientists with the capability to conduct examinations and measurements on ice cores, and it preserves the integrity of these ice cores in a long-term repository for current and future investigations.

USGS Libraries Program

The U.S. Congress authorized a library for the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 1879. The library was formally established in 1882 with the naming of the first librarian and began with a staff of three and a collection of 1,400 books. Today, the USGS Libraries Program is one of the world's largest Earth and natural science repositories and a resource of national significance used by researchers and the public worldwide.

Multistate Aquatic Resources Information System (MARIS)

MARIS is an internet-based information sharing network that allows multiple states to provide a common set of variables via a single web interface. MARIS is not a "dataset" but rather links specific content of multiple states' datasets. MARIS does not capture all of the information from each state's aquatic dataset only a subset of data collected as part of aquatic species sampling surveys. USGS Denver Library Photographic Collection

The U.S. Geological Survey Denver Library maintains a collection of more than 400,000 photographs taken during geologic studies of the United States and its territories from 1868 to the present. These images provide a visual history of the discovery, development, and sciences of the United States and its Geological Survey. Some photographs have been used in USGS publications, but most have never been published.
