The STEPPE (Science Team about Energy and Prairie Pothole Environments) project is a multidiciplined collaboration of USGS scientists who are examining the effects of energy development on natural resources within the geographic extent of the Willison Basin and the Bakken Formation. We have partnered with other Federal and State Agencies to better understand the complicated interactions between environmental systems and energy development.
