A number of monitoring method and protocol libraries are currently in existence. Although these systems have been tailored to certain disciplines or research foci, the underlying principles, mechanisms, and processes have commonalities that could facilitate synthesizing content and information. The Protocol Library project consists of modifying and thus extending the capabilities of the existing NEMI methods compendium.
