This tabular data set represents the percent of surficial materials compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data is the "Digital data set describing surficial geology in the conterminous US," produced by the United States Geological Survey (Price and Clawges, 1999). Units are percent. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network characterizes cumulative...
The source data is the "Map database for surficial materials in the conterminous United States" produced by the United States Geological Survey (USGS, 2009). Units are percent. Surficial materials are defined as an unconsolidated blanket of sediments in which soils commonly are developed. These sediments generally were eroded from underlying...
This tabular data set represents Principal Aquifers and Rock Types compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data is the "Principal Aquifers of the 48 Conterminous United States, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands," produced by U.S. Geological Survey, 2003. Units are percent of catchment underlain by each Principal Aquifer. Reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network characterizes cumulative upstream...

This dataset contains generalized lithologic classes (rocktypes) as reassigned from the USGS state geologic map compilation for the conterminous United States (Anning and Ator, 2017; Schweitzer, 2011). Lithology was classified into 12 generalized categories and assigned to the catchments of the NHDPlusV2.1 network as a fraction of the unit within the catchment.
This tabular data represents the area of combined landuse and surficial materials for the conterminous United States linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data are the National Land Cover Dataset (NLCD) representing 2011 ground conditions (Homer, 2013) , and the "Map database for surficial materials in the conterminous United States" produced by the United States Geological Survey (USGS Soller and others, 2009). Surficial materials are defined as an unconsolidated blanket of sediments in which soils commonly are developed. These sediments generally were eroded from underlying rock, and then were transported and deposited (USGS Soller and others, 2009). Reach catchment...
This tabular data set represents select geochemical characteristics based on Olson geology types in surface or near surface geology (Olson, 2014) compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. The select geochemical characteristics in surface or near surface geology are: 1) mean percentage of lithological calcium oxide (CaO), 2) mean lithological compressive strength, measured as uniaxial compressive strength (in megaPascals, MPa), 3) mean percentage of lithological phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5), 4) mean percentage of lithological potassium...
This tabular data set represents Dominant geology type (Reed and Bush, 2001) compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data for Dominant geology type was produced by Reed and Bush, 2001. Units are percent. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network characterizes cumulative upstream conditions. Network-accumulated values are computed using two methods,...
This tabular data set represents bedrock permeability classes compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. The source data for the bedrock permeability classes in the Principal Aquifer dataset produced by the U.S. Geological Survey, 2003. Units are percent of catchment covered by each class. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network characterizes cumulative...
