Collection of pamphlets, brochures, and informational booklets from the US Department of the Interior, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Indiana Department of Conservation, Indiana Geological Survey, Illinois Geological Survey, Kentucky Geological Survey, and more. Most are dated but have general information that could still be useful today.
Indiana law requires an inspection of each underground mine at least once per quarter by the Indiana Bureau of Mines. The Assistant Commissioner and Chief Mine Inspector of the Bureau of Mines, who are certified mine foremen, conducts these inspections. The Indiana Geological Survey has a library containing copies of these Reports dating from 1880 to 1991.

The Indiana Geological Survey has a library containing copies of these Manuals dating from 1918 to 2003.
