This dataset consists of fossil diatom counts from sediment cores collected in coastal environments on Montague Island, Alaska, and analyzed at Virginia Tech University.
This dataset represents a digitized version of the Rawlinson 1993 surficial geologic map of the Flaxman Island and Beechy Point quadrangles, and portions of the Mount Michelson and Harrison Bay quadrangles at 1:63,360 scale. In this newly digitized version of the map, the original maps were scanned, georeferenced, and projected into GIS. Approximately 100-200 typographic and labelling errors from the paper version were corrected with inputs from the original author (corrections completed in 2024). However, this digitized product still adheres to the 1993 interpretation of the surficial geology. Original descriptions of the map units can be found with the 1993 publication (https://doi.org/10.14509/2484). The original...
This data release contains two vector polygon shapefile datasets that delineate footprints of land surface disturbance and waste that may represent potential above-ground resources resulting from past mining in Alaska. These footprints were mapped on 2023 World Imagery at the location of currently inactive Alaska Resource Data File sites of past mining production.

Kuskokwim airborne magnetic and radiometric survey, Sischu Mountains, Geophysical Report 2024-1, covers parts of the Ruby, Kantishna River, Mt. McKinley, Medfra, and Ophir quadrangles north of McGrath, Alaska. Magnetic and radiometric data were collected with a helicopter between July 14, 2023, and October 15, 2023, by Geotech Ltd. The survey contains a single block covering 8,008 km2. A total of 25,878 line-kilometers were collected. The magnetometer was installed inside the stinger attached to the helicopter nose. The airborne gamma-ray spectrometer was mounted on the interior floor of the helicopter cabin. The block was flown with a line spacing of 400 m. The mean ground clearance is 192 m with a nominal survey...

The Porcupine River fixed wing aeromagnetic geophysical survey is located in eastern Alaska, along the Canadian border, in the Sheenjek and Black mining districts. This survey is located about 135 kilometers east of Fort Yukon, Alaska and about 85 kilometers east of Circle, Alaska. Magnetic data were collected with a Geometrics G-822A cesium-vapor split-beam sensor mounted in a tail stinger. Between May 5th and June 28th, 2017, a total of 50,329 line kilometers were collected covering 13,646.9 square kilometers. Data were collected at a line spacing of 300 meters (m) with a mean ground clearance of 235 m. The data, as well as additional metadata, are available from the DGGS website: https://doi.org/10.14509/29737....

This data release includes three tables containing cosmogenic beryllium-10 and aluminum-26 concentrations and related data from samples collected at four sites in central Alaska in 2020, prepared in 2022 at the University of Vermont (UVM), and measured at the Purdue Rare Isotope Measurement lab (PRIME) in 2022. The file "burialAge_siteLocations_centralAK_bender.csv" contains site locations in the NAD83 reference frame, and burial ages computed from raw data contained in the other files. All files are linked by the site_id_short field.

This data release contains three tables of U-Pb zircon isotopic data generated from analyses of 40 metaplutonic and metavolcanic rocks from the Yukon-Tanana Upland of western Yukon and east-central Alaska and one sample from southern Yukon. One of the tables also reports U-Pb data for two titanite analyses for one of the samples. U-Pb zircon ages from analyzed samples range from 363.5 ± 3.8 to 253.1 ± 0.7 Ma and were collected from parautochthonous North America and the allochthonous Yukon-Tanana terrane. U-Pb zircon data include 216 individual analyses by ID-TIMS and 35 individual analyses of two samples by LA-ICP-MS. ID-TIMS analyses of titanite give concordant 206Pb-238U ages of 333 and 338 Ma. Two U-Pb tables...
The Tanana River and Big Delta airborne magnetic and radiometric geophysical survey covers parts of the Big Delta, Charley River, Circle, Eagle, Fairbanks, Kantishna River, Livengood, Mount Hayes, and Tanacross quadrangles near Fairbanks and Delta Junction, Alaska. Magnetic and radiometric data were collected with a fixed-wing aircraft from May 14 to August 4, 2022, by MPX Geophysics LTD. The survey contains six individual blocks. This data set contains U-Pb isotopic data and associated ages of detrital zircon from sedimentary and metasedimentary rocks collected in northern Yukon, Canada. The samples were originally collected as part of geological mapping and research conducted by the Geological Survey of Canada. They were recovered from archived collections and sent to the U.S. Geological Survey for analysis of detrital zircon using U-Pb geochronology methods. Detrital zircon grains were separated and analyzed by GeoSep Services (GSS) in 2015 using laser-ablation-inductively-coupled-plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) techniques.
