This contain a zip folder of comma delimited (CSV) files for each of the 19 tables in the report. It is produced automatically upon compiling the R Quarto code. Column headers are difference than in the tables in the report but order is exactly the same. Refer to the report to understand meaning of the columns. Each cell of the tables contain a management index estimate or the standard error of the estimate.

This collection is comprised of digital, slide and print photographs taken during engineering geology, energy and minerals resource related field projects from 1970-2020. These photos document field sites, geologic features, landscapes and landforms from the various areas of Alaska. There are collections specific to each of the Division's sections that document the effort needed to complete the culling and documentation of exisiting photos. As of 2020, DGGS has cataloged 19,724 photos, with 12,813 available to the public. Only those photos with location information are available within the National Digital Catalog

The Northwest Boreal Landscape Conservation Cooperative (NWB LCC) is a partnership between agencies involved in land management across Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and British Columbia. The NWB LCC aims to coordinate science and support to decision makers for improving land management decisions. Knowledge gaps have been identified by the NWB LCC and are beginning to be filled. This collection consists of Western Interior Upper Cretaceous ammonites and Inoceramids fossils with stratigraphic and spatial data largely from the Rocky Mountain region of North America. Data is primarily type fossils from the USGS Denver Mesozoic Invertebrate Catalog created and maintained by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) that as of March 2020 has been transferred to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. The daily flight tracks of the 1997-2002 aerial summer Southeast Alaska Nearshore Waterbird Survey were recorded to an onboard computer using the custom survey software RECORD (John I. Hodges, FWS-MBM-Alaska, retired). The tracks were recorded by capturing the plane’s location from a GPS every five seconds as long as the software was running. The software was started at some time between the aircraft’s engine start and the start of the survey, and was shut down at some time between the end of the survey and engine shut-down. The tracks thus include the aircraft’s flight to and from the airport base. The 29 track files are named TRMMDDYY_AIR.csv, where MM = month, DD = day, and YY = year.

In 1967 and 1968 the USGS, in partnership with NASA and the National Park Service, extracted rock core from 13 locations in Yellowstone National Park. Depths of the holes ranged from 215 ft to 1,088 ft and the total drilled footage was 6,802 ft. The deepest hole was drilled in Norris Basin. Research on these cores provided critical understanding of complex geothermal systems that would inform the potential development of other systems, external to the park, as energy sources. These cores are extremely rare due to the many restrictions on sampling in the park. New version for 2023. This collection consolidates the IGS Oil and Gas database, documents, logs, and LAS files, superseding collections “Collection of Well logs from Idaho” and “Idaho oil and gas well data.” These files include information on current and historical oil and gas exploration wells in Idaho provided by companies to the Oil and Gas Commission from 1903-2022. This data was transferred to the Idaho Geological Survey in 2009 from the Idaho Department of Lands, who regulates and maintains data for recent/current oil and gas exploration in Idaho. These catalogs serve to identify known locations of mineral extraction and exploration activities discussed for the purpose of eventually discovering these data through the Mines web map application. These tables of information will reduce data entry time through use of queries to generate records. They also help identify properties without a clear location for efficient discussion with the original authors.

This collection contains test-hole cores through surficial sediments and shallow bedrock drilled by the Nebraska Geological Survey (Conservation and Survey Division), the Nebraska Department of Roads, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and other organizations, including bedrock cores drilled by petroleum and mineral concerns. A portion of the cores in this collection originated from oil producing areas and areas with potential petroleum development within the Panhandle region of western Nebraska. Geologic samples including hand samples and thin sections that were collected between 1955 and 1956 by Helen Foster and Harold May during the geologic mapping of the Pacific islands of Ryukyu that extend southwest from Japan. Most of the samples were collected from Ishigaki Island and were analyzed to interpret the geology of Ishigaki in USGS Professional Paper 399-A. Ruth Deike of the USGS Geologic Division began an inventory of the samples and thin sections in 2007, but the samples were soon after sent to the Core Research Center for storage. This collection consists of rock samples associated with the research of USGS scientist Alfred Miesch. Miesch was an early contributor to USGS geochemistry research and many of these samples are associated with his research. In 1953 Dr. Miesch began a 33-year career with the Survey. His work in Grand Junction, CO involved research on the distribution of minor elements in association with uranium on the Colorado Plateau. He moved to Denver in 1959 where he continued his work on element distributions in rocks, soils, and plants, ultimately becoming Chief of the Branch of Geochemical Census, which he later renamed Branch of Regional Geochemistry. The Integrated Monitoring in Bird Conservation Regions (IMBCR) program is one of the largest breeding bird monitoring programs in North America. The program was developed in 2007 to address the need for a collaborative avian monitoring program that produces scientifically defensible estimates of bird distribution and abundance across various spatial scales. The program’s objectives were established following guidelines published by the North American Bird Conservation Initiative’s (NABCI) Monitoring Subcommittee for improving avian monitoring in North America. This collection includes 4,525 rock thin sections archived by the DMME Virginia Division of Geology and Mineral Resources. The thin sections represent a wide range of rock types in Virginia and are available for petrographic studies. Many, but not all of these thin sections are associated with rock specimens inventoried in the Rock Repository, identified by the tag "R-#####". Other thin sections represent rock specimens from earlier studies for which documentation may exist, yet the original rock sample may not be available. The location coordinates for the thin sections are approximate, given by the 7.5-minute quadrangle centroid. Work continues on this collection to better document missing information.

The citizen science pilot began in April of 2023 and ends in November of 2023. Based on the response and number of specimens received the collection efforts may continue into 2024. The Lepidoptera Research Collection (LRC) will be made available to all scientists within the USGS to conduct research.
