This dataset includes stable Parameter-elevation Relationships on Independent Slopes Model (PRISM) climate model output (Band Interleaved by Line [.bil] image files) data from the All Networks 1981 monthly time step (AN81m) model. These have been extracted to the USGS 12-digit Hydrologic Unit (hereafter, HUC-12 basins) spatial grain. Yearly data is available for 83,304 HUC-12 basins in the United States from 1895-2017. Variables include annual precipitation, annual means of maximum and minimum daily average air temperature, maximum daily air temperature in August, minimum daily air temperature in January, daily mean dewpoint temperature, and minimum and maximum daily vapor pressure deficits.

The yǻyaguak (Mariana swiftlet; Aerodramus bartschi) is an endangered cave-nesting species historically found on Guam and the southern Mariana Islands, Micronesia. The population on Guam has been severely impacted by the introduction of the brown treesnake (Boiga irregularis). Population status assessments have, however, been challenging due to the limitations of traditional counting methods, which rely on visual observations at cave entrances and are prone to inaccuracies. The Russian River Watershed (RRW) covers about 1300 square miles (without Santa Rosa Plain) of urban, agricultural, and forested lands in northern Sonoma County and southern Mendocino County, California. Communities in the RRW depend on a combination of Russian River water and groundwater to meet their water-supply demands. Water is used primarily for agricultural irrigation, municipal and private wells supply, and commercial uses - such as for wineries and recreation. Annual rainfall in the RRW is highly variable, making it prone to droughts and flooding from atmospheric river events. This dataset includes otolith and water chemistry used for determining natal origins of individuals from six species. The dataset contains Sr:Ca and Ba:Ca of water samples for the Mississippi River and tributaries as well as otolith Sr, Ba, Mg values from fishes collected in navigation pools 4, 8, 13, and 26 of the Upper Mississippi River, as well as the Open River Reach of the Middle Mississippi River and the La Grange Pool of the Illinois River. This data release provides flooding extent polygons and flood depth rasters (geotiffs) based on sea-level rise and wave-driven total water levels for the coast of the most populated Hawaiian, Mariana, and American Samoan Islands. Oceanographic, coastal engineering, ecologic, and geospatial data and tools were combined to evaluate the increased risks of storm-induced coastal flooding due to climate change and sea-level rise. Eggshells of 13 waterbird species were divided in half longitudinally and the outer eggshell membrane was removed from one of the halves. Eggshell thickness was measured for both eggshell halves, both with and without the outer eggshell membrane. The eggshell membrane thickness was calculated by taking the difference between the two thickness measurements.

Time series data of wave height and water surface elevation were acquired for 399 days at four locations on the southern reef of Ofu, American Samoa, in support of a study on submarine groundwater dynamics on this reef within the National Park of American Samoa’s Ofu Unit. The relative placement of sensors on the reef were as follows: OFU20E03 – mid reef at East site; OFU20E04 – inner reef at East site; OFU20W03 – mid reef at West site; OFU20W04 – inner reef at West site.

The Coastal Storm Modeling System (CoSMoS) makes detailed predictions (meter-scale) over large geographic scales (100s of kilometers) of storm-induced coastal flooding and erosion for both current conditions and future SLR scenarios, and in many locations, there are additional products for long-term shoreline change, cliff retreat, and groundwater hazards.  Resulting projections for future climate scenarios (sea-level rise and storms) provide emergency responders and coastal planners with critical storm-hazards information that can be used to increase public safety and mitigate physical damages to reduce risk, and more effectively manage and allocate resources to increase resilience in response to a changing climate...

This data release contains approximately three years of modeled chlorophyll-a—a proxy for planktonic algal biomass—transport through a 394-km portion of the Illinois River. This dataset contains measurements of wave height, peak wave period, and water depth taken every 0.5 hours from February 13 to June 12, 2020, at three wave gauge locations along the Fog Point shoreline in Martin National Wildlife Refuge, Maryland. These wave gauges were continuously sampled at 10 Hz, capturing 20-minute bursts every 30 minutes (peak wave periods longer than 7s were removed). This is a dataset containing the first and second record of georeferenced observations of introduced and invasive vascular plant species in the contiguous United States (CONUS). Non-native plant species were identified using the United States Register of Introduced and Invasive Species (US-RIIS) list. After identifying a list of plants non-native to CONUS, we obtained presence data from aggregated occurrence databases, ensuring the occurrences we acquired were georeferenced (i.e., had coordinate information) and had an observation year recorded. This data release presents geologic map data for the bedrock geology of the Durango 1-degree by 2-degree quadrangle. Geologic mapping incorporates new interpretive contributions and compilation from published geologic map data sources primarily ranging from 1:24,000 to 1:50,000 scale. Much of the geology incorporated from published geologic maps is adjusted based on digital elevation model and natural-color image data sources to improve spatial resolution of the data.
