This data release contains self-potential (SP) monitoring data measured on the flood plain of East Fork Poplar Creek (East Fork) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and streamflow data measured at streamgage EFK5.4 about 310 meters upstream from the SP monitoring site. Additionally, forward and inverse numerical modeling scripts used to model the electrical-potential field on the East Fork flood plain are provided. SP monitoring data included in this data release were measured at 39 different data-collection points on the east flood plain; 30 points were spaced 3-m apart along an 87-m profile parallel to the edge of the streambank, and 9 points were spaced 5-m apart along a 40-m profile approximately perpendicular to the streambank....

Natural resource managers and researchers often need long-term averages of historical and future climate scenarios for their study area yet may not have the resources to make these summaries. This project will provide high quality, detailed maps of historical and projected future climate and hydrologic conditions for California and a finer scale version for southern California. The project will also assess the feasibility of expanding these reference data to the southwestern US and identify the most suitable online data portals for the public to view and analyze the data in support of local initiatives. The map products can be used to assess the impacts of ongoing climate change and to develop climate adaptation...

This model archive contains the input data, model code, and model outputs for machine learning models that predict daily non-tidal stream salinity (specific conductance) for a network of 459 modeled stream segments across the Delaware River Basin (DRB). Results are provided for two time periods: the time period containing the historical drought-of-record from 1962-01-01 to 1969-12-30, and that same drought period evaluated using a pseudo global warming (PGW) approach to simulate the drought in climatic conditions that are consistent with a LENS2 ensemble climate projection from 2053-10-01 to 2061-12-30. Results are offset by 92 years (i.e. model simulations for 2061-12-30 correspond to 1969-12-30 in the LENS2 climate...

This data provides locations and technical specifications of legacy versions (ver. 1.0 - ver. X.X) of the United States Wind Turbines database. Each release, typically done quarterly, updates the database with newly installed wind turbines, removes wind turbines that have been identified as dismantled, and applies other verifications based on updated imagery and ongoing quality-control. Turbine data were gathered from the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Digital Obstacle File (DOF) and Obstruction Evaluation Airport Airspace Analysis (OE-AAA), the American Clean Power Association (ACP), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), and the United States Geological Survey (USGS), and were merged and collapsed...
This data are a single table of nest records from a multi-year study of Pacific Common Eider (Somateria mollissima v-nigrum) biology that was conducted along the lower Kashunuk River, Kigigak Island, and the mouth of the Tutakoke River on the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta from 1991-2004.

USGS Science Data Catalog (SDC),
Predators are a known detriment to beach nesting birds at Cape May National Wildlife Refuge. Although the refuge regularly contracts with USDA to provide 2 weeks of predator trapping, predators historically move onto the refuge throughout a breeding season and detrimentally affect the beach nesting birds when contract work has already been spent or USDA is unavailable to get out to specific sites. In recent years, this has resulted in low productivity. Funding is requested to implement more adaptive predation management efforts through either increased trapping duration, and/or to purchase trapping and control supplies for refuge staff, and to purchase supplies to trap and control ghost crabs.

This Atlas describes 85 sites throughout North America that constitute important sea duck habitats. It is intended to heighten awareness of valuable sea duck habitats, aid in prioritizing habitat conservation and protection efforts, and help in evaluating environmental assessments. Criteria for inclusion in this atlas were strict, relative to criteria used for other bird habitat designations, to highlight those habitats most critical to sea ducks during at least one season. To be included in this atlas, sites hadto meet the following minimum criteria: (1a) The area supports at least 5% of the continental population of a sea duck species, or (1b) The area supports, or has recently supported, a total of 20,000 sea...

This data set represents monthly precipitation (in millimeters), and minimum and maximum temperature (in degrees Fahrenheit) over the period 1980-2023 compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusV2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlusV2 by the unique identifier COMID. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments are accumulated upstream through the river network using a modified routing database (Schwarz and Wieczorek, 2018) to navigate the NHDPlusV2 reach network to aggregate (accumulate) the metrics...
This Model Archive Summary (MAS) describes the development of a turbidity derived suspended-sediment concentration (SSC) time-series computation model. The MAS includes all the methods and techniques used to develop the model for USGS stations 11455420 Sacramento River at Rio Vista, Ca. The time-series suspended-sediment concentration data are representative of the cross section and are adequate to compute suspended-sediment flux, to help managers and others to track the movement of sediment in the Sacramento-San-Joaquin Delta and to better understand habitat dynamics.
