This raster represents a continuous surface of sage-grouse habitat suitability index (HSI,created using ArcGIS 10.2.2) values for Nevada during the breeding season.
We enhanced the agro-hydrologic VegET model to include snow accumulation and melt processes and the separation of runoff into surface runoff and deep drainage. Driven by global weather datasets and parameterized by land surface phenology (LSP), the enhanced VegET model was implemented in the cloud to simulate daily soil moisture (SM), actual evapotranspiration (ETa), and runoff (R) for the conterminous United States (CONUS) and the Greater Horn of Africa (GHA). Evaluation of the VegET model with independent data showed satisfactory performance, capturing the temporal variability of SM (Pearson correlation r: 0.22–0.97), snowpack (r: 0.86–0.88), ETa (r: 0.41–0.97), and spatial variability of R (r: 0.81–0.90). Absolute...

This is a 30 meter grid that maps upland and wetland wildlife habitats/ecological systems for the Northeast, including all 13 states from Maine to Virginia, west to New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Mapped habitat types are drawn from the Northeastern Terrestrial Habitat Classification System (NETHCS). The NETHCS is based on NatureServe’s Ecological Systems Classification, augmented with additional information from individual state wildlife classifications and other information specific to wildlife managers. A terrestrial ecological system is defined as a mosaic of plant community types that tend to co-occur within landscapes with similar ecological processes, substrates, and/or environmental gradients,...

This layer respresents First Nations Reservations that occupy area in the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem or occupy area within a 50 kilometer buffer surrounding the border. The data is derived from Alberta and British Columbia data from GeoGratis, which was created in 2003 and revised in 2015; and Montana data from the US Bureau of Land Management (BMSC).

Floods have become increasingly prominent in recent decades causing devastating effects on lives and livelihoods worldwide. Efficient tools to assess the drivers of floods, such as increasing urbanization, could help to minimize flood hazards. Urbanization increases the design peak flow (maximum potential surface water flow from a precipitation event with an average probability of occurring once in a specific recurrence interval), which is a key information needed for designing stormwater management infrastructures such as culverts and storm sewers. A web-based application was developed to explore the potential changes (1985 to 2020) in design peak flow of urban areas across the conterminous United States driven...

The data are a compilation from multiple sources [Multi-Resolution Land Characteristics (MRLC) Consortium, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), and the Canadian Forest Service (CFS)], Canadian data are circa 2000, US are circa 2001. VALUE: 0 = NoData; 20 = Water; 30 = Barren; 31 = Ice/Snow; 34 = Developed; 50 = Scrub/Shrub; 80 = Wetland; 110 = Grassland; 120 = Agriculture; 210 = Coniferous; 220 = Deciduous; 230 = Mixed. This dataset was published in November 2010. The dataset was updated in 2014 to fix several no-data pixels along the US-Canada border. This dataset was developed by the Crown Managers Partnership, as part of...
