Static flood inundation boundary extents were created along the entire shoreline of Lake Ontario in Cayuga, Jefferson, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans, Oswego, and Wayne Counties in New York by using recently acquired (2007, 2010, 2014, and 2017) light detection and ranging (lidar) data. The flood inundation maps, accessible through the USGS Flood Inundation Mapping Program website at https://www.usgs.gov/mission-areas/water-resources/science/flood-inundation-mapping-fim-program, depict estimates of the areal extent and water depth of shoreline flooding in 8 segments corresponding to adjacent water-surface elevations (stages) at 8 USGS lake gages on Lake Ontario. The Gridded SSURGO National Commodity Crop Productivity Index (NCCPI), version 2.0, arrays soils according to their inherent capacity to produce dryland (nonirrigated) commodity crops. Most of the NCCPI criteria relate directly to the ability of soils, landscapes, and climates to foster crop productivity. A few criteria relate to factors that can limit use of the land (e.g., surface boulders). All criteria used in the index affect crop culture and production and are referred to as factors affecting inherent productivity. Higher values represent higher capacity for production. Changes in tidal marsh area and habitat type in response to sea-level rise were modeled using the Sea Level Affecting Marshes Model (SLAMM 6) that accounts for the dominant processes involved in wetland conversion and shoreline modifications during long-term sea level rise (Park et al. 1989; Successive versions of the model have been used to estimate the impacts of sea level rise on the coasts of the U.S. The model was produced by Warren Pinnacle Consulting, Inc. for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This collection of maps shows vegetation cover types that are either Dominant or Common (see project documentation for full methodology in mapping). Sparse cover types are not shown here. All patches have a dominant cover type, but not all have a Common type. Vegetation features were mapped by National Park Service staff; ground-truthing and editing of vegetation data was done by project staff, as was mapping of bare areas and channel features. Associated layers of river channels, reaches, and bottomland kilometers are included for reference.

This data set represents greater sage-grouse populations to be used in work for the US Fish and Wildlife (USFWS) 2015 Status Review for the greater sage-grouse. Populations do not represent occupied habitat. Population polygons are meant to coarsely identify areas of occupation based on encircling groups of leks. Boundaries taken from BLM/WAFWA revised population boundaries (‘COT_SG_Populations_2014_WAFWA_UT’ data layer). The original data layer was slightly modified for the USFWS 2015 Status Review. Modifications include dissolving populations across State boundaries and merging several polygons together. Five additional polygons were added to the data set including four polygons in Utah and one polygon in Canada....

This data release contains the analytical results and evaluated source data files of geospatial analyses for identifying areas in Alaska that may be prospective for different types of lode gold deposits, including orogenic, reduced-intrusion-related, epithermal, and gold-bearing porphyry. The spatial analysis is based on queries of statewide source datasets of aeromagnetic surveys, Alaska Geochemical Database (AGDB3), Alaska Resource Data File (ARDF), and Alaska Geologic Map (SIM3340) within areas defined by 12-digit HUCs (subwatersheds) from the National Watershed Boundary dataset. The Beethoven quadrangle is located in the equatorial region of Mercury, in the center of the imaged area. Most pictures of the quadrangle were obtained at high sun angles as the Mariner 10 spacecraft receded from the planet. Images in the northeastern part of the quadrangle are very poor to unusable. Another difficulty in mapping is the poor match in topographic bases between Beethvoen and adjacent quadrangles. Mismatches are especially common along the borders withthe Kuiper and Discovery quadrangles to the east and southeast.

This map sheet is one of a series covering that part of the surface of Mercury that was illuminated during the Mariner 10 encounters. Planimetric control is provided by photogrammetric triangulation using Mariner 10 pictures (Davies and Batson, 1975). Discrepancies between images in the base mosaic and computed control-point positions appear to be less than 5 km. No attempt was made to resolve discrepancies in feature positions on this sheet and those on the Kuiper (H-6) quadrangle to the north and the Bach (H-15) quadrangle to the south. The latter sheets were controlled by an earlier, more preliminary net.
This map provides an estimate of current and near-term aquatic intactness, which is based on the results of a fuzzy logic model integrating land use, water quality, hydrologic impacts, and road impacts. It also shows long-term potential for climate change.
