This dataset is intended to assess trends and percent change per year (PCPY) in yearly averages of pH within 300 meters of saltwater marsh. Assessments (condition) was classified depending on the following follow thresholds for PCPY: <= -1.0% - “Decreasing” > -1.0 & < 0.0% - “Stable (-)” = 0.0% - “Stable (No Change)” > 0.0 & < 1.0% - “Stable (+)” >= 1.0% - “Increasing”

The Florida Marine Blueprint V. 2 depicts marine and estuarine priorities based on combined natural resource priorities, providing guidance for efficient and effective conservation planning and implementation. The FLMB Version 2 used six natural resource datasets to prioritize area of natural habitats in Florida’s EEZ extent. The datasets comprised 19 separate spatial feature layers acquired through a variety of monitoring and management organizations. Spatial layers represent vital conservation and/or management data, such as endangered and threatened species (i.e., critical habitat), overall species richness in estuarine habitats, commercially and recreationally important species (i.e., essential fish habitat),...

For more information about how these data were developed, please see the final report. Expert opinion was used to define a resistance surface for each of the target animals, with higher resistance representing map units expected to be more difficult and more dangerous for species to move through. A set of nodes for each species, with node points indicating center locations for potential source populations for the species, are also defined. Note actual species population data to define the nodes is not used, as that data was often unavailable, and the focus is on the potential spread of the species across the SALCC region and not limited to models to known populations. Therefore, node locations were determined by...

This map contains multiple layers related to the corridors in Blueprint 2.2. Inland Hubs These are the hubs used in the Linkage Mapper-based connectivity analysis for the inland portion of the South Atlantic area in Blueprint 2.2. Input Data -- Ecosystem scores from Zonation for all inland ecosystems (beach and dune, estuarine marsh, forested wetland, freshwater marsh, maritime forest, pine and prairie, upland hardwood) -- The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) Resilient Land Project -- TNC's Secured Lands Database (External Eastern Division 2014) Mapping Steps 1) Individual ecosystem integrity scores (Zonation outputs) for the inland ecosystems (beach and dune, estuarine marsh, forested wetland, freshwater marsh, maritime...
What are current conditions for important park natural resources? What are the critical data and knowledge gaps? What are some of the factors that are influencing park resource conditions? Natural Resource Condition Assessments (NRCAs) evaluate and report on the above for a subset of important natural resources in national park units (hereafter, parks). Focal study resources and indicators are selected on a park-by-park basis, guided by use of structured resource assessment and reporting frameworks. Considerations include park resource setting and enabling legislation (what are this park's most important natural resources?) and presently available data and expertise (what can be evaluated at this time?). In addition...

These heatmaps show a top 3 stressor or service, as ranked by participants, and the concentration of participants who reported as working in each municipality or county who also voted for that stressor or service across the landscape. This map shows the percentage of participants from each county and municipality who ranked Salt Cedar (Tamarix spp) as a top 3 ecosystem stressor in the Riparian Invasive Plant category in their region. Symbology represents the percentage of participants with 0% = dark green, 0.0001 % - 24.99% = light green, 25% - 49.99% = yellow, 50% - 74.99% = orange, 75% - 100% = red. All counties and municipalities identified by participants as areas where they work were given a tally for each...

The seven input models used to estimate the total influence of the human footprint. These models either explored how anthropogenic features influence wildlife populations via changes in habitat (road-induced dispersal of invasive plants, oil and gas developments, human induced fires, and anthropogenic habitat fragmentation) or predators densities (spatial distribution of domestic and synanthropic avian predators). The human footprint map is a composite of these seven models.
