These are shapefiles and ARC/INFO coverages of coal fields and coal-bearing formations in the Colorado Plateau. These GIS layers were created by combining numerous ARC/INFO coverages created for the Colorado Plateau coal assessment. The coal field outlines are approximate boundaries based on criteria provided below under Data Quality Information, Process Steps. These coal field outlines may not overlap exactly with other published coal field boundaries or with criteria used in the geochemistry data. We used existing polygons taken from numerous digital geologic maps, as described in Process Steps, but did not use overburden cutoffs.

This dataset contains absolute-gravity measurements made using an A-10 absolute gravity meter (Micro-g Lacoste, Inc.) in 2019 in Pinal County, Arizona. Measurements were made at a total of 19 different stations used by the Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) to monitor aquifer-storage changes. Data are presented in tabular and spatial vector (point) form, including relevant parameters used for processing. Data were output by g software (Micro-g Lacoste, Inc.) version 9.12.04.23. A correction for laser-frequency drift was applied, based on regular calibration of the HeNe laser used in the A-10 against an iodine-stabilized laser.

This dataset includes hourly stream temperature data for 139 temperature logger sites throughout the Lahontan Basin Region of Northern Nevada and Eastern California. Data loggers were part a study beginning in 2017, with data available through 2019 for most locations. The spatial data layer contains site locations, geographic information, data summaries, mean August stream temperatures, and modeled NorWeST stream temperatures. This dataset represents lineaments in the Powder River Basin as identified in the following publication: Anna, L.O., 1986, Geologic framework of the ground water system in Jurassic and Cretaceous rocks on the Northern Great Plains, in parts of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming: U.S. Geological Survey Professional Paper 1402-B, 36 p. Model archive summary (MAS) describing the development of a suspended-sediment concentration (SSC) surrogate regression model for the Hookton Slough near Loleta, CA water quality station (USGS site ID# 404038124131801). A continuous 15-minute SSC record was computed using this regression model for the period of record (03-04-2016 to 09-10-2019). The computed SSC record can be found on NWIS Web at https://waterdata.usgs.gov/ca/nwis/uv?site_no=404038124131801. The SSC record was used to assess ambient SSC conditions, the availability of suspended sediment to support surface deposition and elevation gain in adjacent salt marshes, and to characterize salt marsh resiliency to climate change impacts in Humboldt Bay, CA.
