The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) collected over 1,840 physical property measurements on selected plutons in the Great Basin, primarily in California and Nevada. Data include station identifier, geographic coordinates, rock type, density, magnetic susceptibility, remanent magnetization, declination, and inclination where available. This dataset includes the audio-magnetotelluric (AMT) sounding data collected in 2009 in and near the San Luis Basin, New Mexico. The U.S. Geological Survey conducted a series of multidisciplinary studies, including AMT surveys, in the San Luis Basin to improve understanding of the hydrogeology of the Santa Fe Group and the nature of the sedimentary deposits comprising the principal groundwater aquifers of the Rio Grande rift. These are shapefiles and ARC/INFO coverages of coal fields and coal-bearing formations in the Colorado Plateau. These GIS layers were created by combining numerous ARC/INFO coverages created for the Colorado Plateau coal assessment. The coal field outlines are approximate boundaries based on criteria provided below under Data Quality Information, Process Steps. These coal field outlines may not overlap exactly with other published coal field boundaries or with criteria used in the geochemistry data. We used existing polygons taken from numerous digital geologic maps, as described in Process Steps, but did not use overburden cutoffs.

This dataset contains absolute-gravity measurements made using an A-10 absolute gravity meter (Micro-g Lacoste, Inc.) in 2019 in Pinal County, Arizona. Measurements were made at a total of 19 different stations used by the Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) to monitor aquifer-storage changes. Data are presented in tabular and spatial vector (point) form, including relevant parameters used for processing. Data were output by g software (Micro-g Lacoste, Inc.) version 9.12.04.23. A correction for laser-frequency drift was applied, based on regular calibration of the HeNe laser used in the A-10 against an iodine-stabilized laser.
