This data set consists of 59 wideband magnetotelluric (MT) stations collected by the U.S. Geological Survey in July and August of 2020 as part of a 1-year project funded by the Energy Resources Program of the U.S. Geological Survey to demonstrate full crustal control on geothermal systems in the Great Basin. Each station had 5 components, 3 orthogonal magnetic induction coils and 2 horizontal orthogonal electric dipoles. Data were collected for an average of 18 hours on a repeating schedule of alternating sampling rates of 256 samples/second for 7 hours and 50 minutes and 4096 samples/second for 10 minutes. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), prepared geographic information systems (GIS) layers for use in the West Virginia StreamStats application. The Digital Elevation Model and associated data were hydrologically conditioned, which is the process of burning in single line streams at the 1:24,000 scale into a digital elevation model to produce flow direction and flow accumulation grids. This data includes geotif images for a 10 meter digital elevation model, a flow direction, and a flow accumulation raster/grid image for the WV Streamstats area. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Puerto Rico Environmental Quality Board, has compiled a series of geospatial datasets for Puerto Rico to be implemented into the USGS StreamStats application (https://streamstats.usgs.gov/ss/). U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with Miami-Dade County, performed a sequential, aquifer stress test from August 15 to October 12, 2011, on the Floridan aquifer system at the North District Wastewater Treatment Plant, in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Miami-Dade County stressed the Floridan aquifer system with four municipal injection wells at the North District. The U.S. Geological Survey measured pressure with a Level TROLL 700 from August 15, 2011, to October 12, 2011, for the lower zone of Floridan aquifer system monitoring well FA-3. These data are part of a larger data set that describe the stress test at the North District (King, 2016, http://dx.doi.org/10.5066/F7QZ2819).

A detailed airborne radiometric survey of Mountain Pass, California was flown by CGG Canada Services Ltd. (CGG). The high-resolution helicopter survey was flown at a flight-line spacing of 100 and 200 m, a flight-line azimuth of 70 degrees, a nominal flight-line elevation above ground of 70 m, and consists of about 1,814 line-kilometers. This digital dataset contains the baseline climate scenario data used for the Salinas and Carmel Rivers Basin Study (SCRBS). The baseline climate scenario has the climate trends removed from it. The files included in this child item are the daily 270-meter gridded spatially distributed daily precipitation (PPT), maximum and minimum air temperature (TMX and TMN, respectively), and potential evapotranspiration (PET) from 1/1/2016 to 12/31/2100.

To provide daily mean streamflow values at ungaged (partial-record) sites within the Yankee Fork Salmon River watershed, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, used discharge measurements at three partial-record sites and related those measurements to a nearby USGS real-time streamgage (index site). Daily mean streamflow was estimated by developing a regression relationship between each partial-record site and the index site for water years 2012-2019. These data are intended to provide daily mean streamflow estimates at partial-record sites as part of a larger study (Clark and others, 2021) to estimate sediment loading for each site.

Lidar Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) at 2-meter resolution have been used to derive watershed boundaries for the State of Maine. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software was used to hydrologically enforce lidar DEMs and delineate watershed boundaries at pre-existing pour point locations (Price, 2016). The watershed boundaries are comparable in size to the 12-digit Hydrologic Unit catchments and have a 12-digit Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC12) identifier attribute field that has a one-to-one match with the national WBD dataset (https://www.usgs.gov/national-hydrography/watershed-boundary-dataset). Using data from 288 adult and yearling female elk that were captured on 22 Wyoming winter supplemental elk feedgrounds and monitored with GPS collars, we fit Step Selection Functions (SSFs) during the spring abortion season and then implemented a master equation approach to translate SSFs into predictions of daily elk distribution for 5 plausible winter weather scenarios (from a heavy snow, to an extreme winter drought year). We analyzed detection/non-detection data from acoustic surveys of bat species in Colorado during the summers of 2016 and 2017. The goal of this analysis is to create species distribution maps estimating the probability of occupancy across the state for each species. We fit a community occupancy model using both years of data from all the available species. Spatially explicit covariates were included to explain heterogeneity in the probabilities of occupancy and nightly covariates were used to model detection.
