The data set consists of evapotranspiration measurements made at the USGS Dead River forested wetland climate station beginning November 21, 2009 and ending February 29, 2016. Water-level measurements of wells were taken in the Upper Floridan aquifer between the dates of May 2 and June 23, 2010. A GIS shapefile of these water-level measurements was constructed and released as part of a prior USGS publication (Kinnaman and Dixon, 2011). This ArcGIS layer was updated in August 2014 to include salinity-based density corrections to water levels in those areas of south Florida where water in the subject aquifer is not fresh. The density corrections to water levels result in the portrayal of the “equivalent freshwater head” values in brackish and saline areas of the Upper Floridan aquifer where water quality data were available.

Hurricane Maria caused widespread landsliding throughout Puerto Rico in September 2017. While the majority of landslide inventories following the hurricane focused on mountainous regions underlain by igneous and volcaniclastic bedrock (Bessette-Kirton et al., 2017, 2019), here we fill an important knowledge gap and document the occurrence of landslides along the greater karst region on the northwest side of the island. This layer shows the potentiometric surface contours of the Upper Floridan Aquifer in Florida and parts of Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama in May 2010. Contours were manually contoured from well elevation data collected in May-June 2010. This layer was updated in August 2014 to include south Florida by calculating the equivalant freshwater head where water quality data was available.

This dataset includes the results of a computer automated anuran vocalization recognition analysis of audio recordings made at Picayune Strand State Forest in 2011 and 2012. The audio files were scanned for 11 species of frogs and toads using the commercially available software program Song Scope (ver. 4.1.3). All detections by the software are listed here along with a "result" field which indicates whether or not the computer detection was a true positive or a false positive.
