This polygon shapefile is the delineation of the upper Umatilla River study area boundary. It is split into two regions, the Blue Mountains and the Lowland Plains, as described in the processing steps. These data were used to analyze precipitation and recharge in the study area as a whole and in the two regions.

This layer represents the lakes in the Crown of the Continent with a 50km buffer. This layer has been produced by merging the "WATERBODY_2" shapefiles from relevant NHN folders obtained from GeoBase - National Hydro Network (NHN) for Canada within the CCE and the "NHDWaterbody" shapefile for Montana, US. This dataset was developed by the Crown Managers Partnership, as part of a transboundary collaborative management initiative for the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem, based on commonly identified management priorities that are relevant at the landscape scale. The locations of approximately 26,000 current and historical U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) surface-water monitoring gaging stations have been indexed to the NHDPlus Version 2.1 stream network. Part of the USGS National Water Information System (NWIS), these gaging stations measure water flow and water levels in streams and lakes. The NHDPlus V2 stream network locations for these gaging stations differ from stations' latitude/longitude provided in NWIS. The NWIS coordinates are frequently not coincidenet with the NHDPlus stream network.

This polygon shapefile includes selected delineated subbasins (watersheds) of streams within the upper Umatilla River Basin, Oregon. These subbasins, referred to by the name of their stream gages, are 1.) Umatilla River above Meacham Creek, near Gibbon, Oregon, 2.) Meacham Creek at Gibbon, Oregon, 3.) Isqu'ulktpe Creek near Gibbon, Oregon, 4.) Moonshine Creek near Mission, Oregon, 5.) Cottonwood Creek near Mission, Oregon, 6.) McKay Creek near Pilot Rock, Oregon, 7.) Wildhorse Creek at Pendleton, Oregon, and 8.) Patawa Creek at West Boundary near Pendleton, Oregon. These data were used to analyze precipitation and groundwater recharge in each subbasin.

This shapefile dataset contains vector lines representing streams, rivers, and ditches that were used in preparing the underlying data for the South Carolina StreamStats application. This dataset consists of contours showing the generalized saturated thickness of the shallow groundwater system in the Lower Gunnison River Basin in Delta, Montrose, Ouray, and Gunnison Counties, Colorado. Saturated thickness was contoured from values in the raster dataset satthk. The U.S. Geological Survey prepared this dataset in cooperation with the Colorado Water Conservation Board.
