Larry Kersey was Vice President of Alanco, Ltd., a mineral resource company mostly active during the 1980s and early 1990s. This collection consists of economic geologic information on several properties across Arizona. Many of the properties were in Mohave and Cochise counties. The collection contains geologic reports, maps, assays, field notes and related materials.

Collection of rock cores extracted during drilling operations involving Fraser Paper at the Moro Plantation for base metals and at Maple-Hovey for manganiferous slate. Please contact the Maine Geological Survey to discuss access to the collection.
In 2011, New Jersey Geological Survey (NJGS) drilled a rock core on Upper Denmark Road in Oxford Township in support of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection arsenic pollution investigation in Oxford, NJ. The rock core was used to characterize bedrock properties and determine presence of arsenic. The NJGS retains the boxes of core in 5-ft lengths, which are available for research.

The NJGWS scanned the two-volume Index to NJ Geological Survey Reports. They are an alphabetical listing of all topics in NJGS reports from 1835 to the late 1950’s included in NJGS Annual Reports and Bulletins. Volume one covers topics beginning with the letters A - K and Volume two covers topics beginning with the letters L - Z.

Thin sections, nearly all Precambrian rocks, nearly all related to mapping projects; many several decades old total to the nearest thousand
These are records of sediment cores from coastal Alabama. These vibracore (specifically pound core) were sampled in relation to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico for background analyses.

The attached file comprises location and formation information for the Missouri Geological Survey’s conodont sample Collection. The collection is primarily for support of STATEMAP mapping activities in Missouri; however, several conodont samples for other projects are included. As data archiving is evolving for this project, information completeness is variable from one column to the next. Data for the most recently completed STATEMAP grant year will be added as the sample compilation is completed. The physical conodont samples are stored in a conodont archive maintained in the MGS library and available for viewing upon request.

The collection contains location maps, logs, cross sections, geochemical sampling results, geologic maps, and reports. These records are primary source information for 289 rock cores in our collection. These documents complement the rock cores that Lehmann and Associates had earlier donated to the Wisconsin Geological Survey. These documents can be viewed on an online interactive map application at https://wgnhs.wisc.edu/mineral-exploration-in-northern-wisconsin-web-app/ or http://arcg.is/1PaySr.

This collection includes field reports, field trip guidebooks, master's theses, dissertations, maps and other printed material produced by faculty, students and field team from the Department of Geosciences at the University of Massachusetts or produced by faculty and students at the University of Massachusetts in collaboration with other scientists. These documents were printed by the University of Massachusetts Department of Geosciences as part of the Department of Geosciences Contribution Series between 1969 and 2000. There are 76 documents and maps in the series. Most of the documents focus on Massachusetts geology but some include data from the Arctic, the western United States and Africa. A few documents...

This coal map collection consists of maps depicting coal geology, cropline, coal thickness, mined out areas, and drill hole locations. Map detail ranges from intricate to simple. Maps include published and unpublished data. Some information is repeated on different maps. Various maps are printed on regular bond paper, blueline paper, and tracing paper. Maps are located by 7.5 minute quadrangle or 15 minute quadrangle basis.

This item provides access to the full set of physical samples in the cores and cuttings collections of the Core Research Center via a Web Feature Service that complies with the Physical Samples schema from the U.S. Geoscience Information Network (ref. http://schemas.usgin.org/models/#physicalsample).
The Wyoming State Geological Survey (WSGS) publishes geologic maps used in mineral exploration, energy resource development, mitigating geologic hazards, and understanding of local geology. The WSGS distributes these maps on its website as Portable Document Files (PDF), Georeferenced Tagged Image File Format Files (GeoTIFF), Keyhole Markup Language Files (KML), Geographic Information System (GIS) shapefiles, and as printed paper copies.

This collection includes historic Louisiana geological publications, some of which date back to 1869. Among these publications are geological bulletins and pamphlets, water resources data, technical reports, and field guides. The earliest reports were published by the State of Louisiana’s Department of Conservation, which predated the establishment of the Louisiana Geological Survey in 1934. Original copies of these documents are considered rare, and can only be found in libraries or in the possession of private collectors.
