The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Arkansas Geological Survey (AGS), has gathered available geophysical logs and related data from the USGS office archives in Arkansas and Tennessee as a basis for developing a hydrogeologic framework for the Southeast region of the United States. Similar efforts were undertaken by the Mississippi Embayment Regional Aquifer Study (MERAS) and the Regional Aquifer-System Analysis (RASA) Program. The logs compiled for these older efforts were difficult to access from the paper files; however, and partly because of this, older and newer logs were compiled into a single digital database for the current study.

The daily flight tracks of the 1997-2002 aerial summer Southeast Alaska Nearshore Waterbird Survey were recorded to an onboard computer using the custom survey software RECORD (John I. Hodges, FWS-MBM-Alaska, retired). The tracks were recorded by capturing the plane’s location from a GPS every five seconds as long as the software was running. The software was started at some time between the aircraft’s engine start and the start of the survey, and was shut down at some time between the end of the survey and engine shut-down. The tracks thus include the aircraft’s flight to and from the airport base. The 29 track files are named TRMMDDYY_AIR.csv, where MM = month, DD = day, and YY = year.
New version for 2023. This collection consolidates the IGS Oil and Gas database, documents, logs, and LAS files, superseding collections “Collection of Well logs from Idaho” and “Idaho oil and gas well data.” These files include information on current and historical oil and gas exploration wells in Idaho provided by companies to the Oil and Gas Commission from 1903-2022. This data was transferred to the Idaho Geological Survey in 2009 from the Idaho Department of Lands, who regulates and maintains data for recent/current oil and gas exploration in Idaho. This data release contains observation data, design transects, design strata, analysis estimates output, and associated metadata from the Alaska Arctic Coastal Plain Aerial Breeding Pair Survey. The Alaska Arctic Coastal Plain Aerial Breeding Pair Survey provides data on distribution, abundance, and trend of 33 bird species that nest in northern Alaska. The survey has been conducted in its current form annually since 2007 with the exception of years 2020 and 2021. Methods generally follow the standard operating procedures for the Waterfowl Breeding Population and Habitat Survey. The Integrated Monitoring in Bird Conservation Regions (IMBCR) program is one of the largest breeding bird monitoring programs in North America. The program was developed in 2007 to address the need for a collaborative avian monitoring program that produces scientifically defensible estimates of bird distribution and abundance across various spatial scales. The program’s objectives were established following guidelines published by the North American Bird Conservation Initiative’s (NABCI) Monitoring Subcommittee for improving avian monitoring in North America. The Denver fossil algae database were gathered from the inception of Denver Region in 1953 by Richard Rezak. His specialty was algae, carbonate platforms, and off-shore modern reefs. He developed a very useful litho-stratigraphic tool while studying Proterozoic algae and stromatolites in Glacier National Park. This lead to his studies of modern analogs in the Caribbean and South Seas. This collection contains 1001 fossil localities. This collection was originally created and maintained by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and as of March 2020 has been transferred to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
These analyses are meant to support the development of a collaborative vision for a sustainable ecoregion for wildlife and people. These products will support a network of conservation practitioners towards collective implementation of this vision.There are many results from the anlalyses found in this folder. Hodges, FWS-MBM-Alaska, retired). The tracks were recorded by capturing the skiff’s location from a GPS every five seconds as long as the software was running. The software was started at some time between the boat’s engine start and the start of the survey, and was shut down at some time between the end of the survey and engine shut-down. The tracks may thus include the boat’s travel to and from the home base. Note that the following boat tracks are missing: all 1997 tracks; one track on 08/12/1998; one track on 08/08/2001; one track on 08/09/2001.
