The Desert Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC) is a partnership formed and directed by resource management entities as well as interested public and private entities in the Mojave, Sonoran, and Chihuahuan Desert and montane sky island regions of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. Desert LCC science depends on access to transboundary base datasets. Given the importance of vegetation such as grasslands and riparian vegetation in conservation science, a bi-national, landscape-scale vegetation data layer with classes relevant to Desert LCC research is crucial. One objective of this project is to investigate appropriate methodologies and landscape scales to create a Desert LCC binational land cover...

This database contains the data inputs used to create a 30 meter resistance layer for the Western Washington Habitat Connectivity Assessment. All input data were clipped to the study area and converted to 30 meter raster format in the same projection with matching cell alignment unless otherwise noted. Input data was reclassified as needed in order to assign resistance values. We made three different resistance surfaces, using these data inputs, for testing in sensitivity analyses. For the first, we started with a conventional methodology for creating resistance surfaces (Using Gnarly Landscape Utilities), and then combined this result with nuanced layers about road impacts and building density impacts. These nuanced...

Collection includes rock cores extracted during drilling operations for Getty - Mount Chase base metal exploration. Please contact the Maine Geological Survey to discuss access to the collection.
Collection includes cores extracted over decades by mineral exploration firms as they completed their Maine work or otherwise released their data, covering both public and private lands that were the subject of mineral exploration. These records represent the best public collection of the major mineral exploration efforts of the 1960s-1980s. This collection of 595 scanned core records is accessible through a Google Earth application. Please contact the Maine Geological Survey to discuss access to the collection.

The South Atlantic Conservation Blueprint is a living spatial plan to conserve natural and cultural resources for future generations. It identifies shared conservation priorities across the South Atlantic region.Blueprint 2021, released in August 2021, is a totally data-driven plan based on terrestrial, freshwater, marine, and cross-ecosystem indicators. It uses the current condition of those indicators to prioritize the most important areas for natural and cultural resources across the South Atlantic geography. Through a connectivity analysis, the Blueprint also identifies corridors that link coastal and inland areas and span climate gradients. The Blueprint reflects extensive feedback from the broader cooperative...

The Blueprint 2021 Data Download is a .zip file containing all of the spatial data associated with South Atlantic Blueprint 2021.
The Blueprint 2021 Development Process is a final report that explains in detail how the Conservation Blueprint was created. It first provides an overview of the South Atlantic Blueprint framework, then combines the metadata available on the Conservation Planning Atlas for all indicators, ecosystem integrity scores, hubs and corridors, and final Blueprint priorities. It is intended to serve as a comprehensive guide to the South Atlantic Blueprint objectives, data sources, and methodology that could enable an interested reader to reproduce the Blueprint independently.

The dataset consists of more than 3,000 sites in Iowa that contain detailed, regional alluvial stratigraphic nomenclature. The dataset is comprised of boring, dug pit, and cutbank descriptions predominately from the Iowa Office of the State Archaeologist, but also from other alluvial studies, including those conducted by the IGS. The majority of these descriptions were first published in documents from the 1990s, but also included data collected in the 1970s and 1980s.
This is a collection of core reports, primarily from rock cores within the Bureau of Economic Geology.

Collection includes mineral exploration cores originally obtained by the U.S. Bureau of Mines. Exploration for base metals, Mn-slate, alkaline earth elements was conducted. Cores were obtained from the following locations in Maine: Albany, Blue Hill, Brooksville, Buckfield, Hammond, Newry, Spencer Lake, TDR2, T9R3. Please contact the Maine Geological Survey to discuss access to the collection.

Dataset contains point data describing the results of 1-channel and 12-channel seismic refraction studies mapped at a scale of 1:24,000, from the Maine Geological Survey. The results include the depth to the water and depth to the bedrock. Links are also provided, when available, to the profile graphs for the seismic line.
