This dataset uses (1) fundamental drainage areas (FDA, NRCAN 2003) and (2) Hydrologic Units 8-digits (HUC8, USGS 2014). The boundaries of the FDAs and HUC8s have been modified to follow the boundaries of the catchments in the NWB LCC Catchments Version 1.0 dataset (BEACONs 2015). REFERENCES BEACONs. 2015. This dataset is a subset of the national U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Corporate Master Table (CMT) for the Pacific Southwest Region. The CMT is the official source of Service organization codes and related information. Information in the CMT includes, but is not limited to, organization codes, Federal Budget Management System, FBMS, cost center codes, organization names, fire unit identifiers, program names, mailing and physical/shipping addresses, telephone and fax numbers as well as latitude and longitude coordinates.

Climate change is expected to alter the distributions and community composition of stream fishes in the Great Lakes region in the 21st century, in part as a result of altered hydrological systems (stream temperature, streamflow, and habitat). Resource managers need information and tools to understand where fish species and stream habitats are expected to change under future conditions. Fish sample collections and environmental variables from multiple sources across the United States Great Lakes Basin were integrated and used to develop empirical models to predict fish species occurrence under present-day climate conditions. Random Forests models were used to predict the probability of occurrence of 13 lotic fish...

Fire polygons from the "fire history" layer from the BLM Alaska Interagency Coordination Center (www.fire.ak.blm.gov) and the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre (CIFFC) website at (http://www.ciffc.ca) were merged. In Canada, fire polygons from the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and British Columbia. Year was truncated to 1965 because it was the earliest coverage for the 4 datasets (Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and British Columbia). Fire polygons include information such as fire name and year/month burned.

FLORIDA CONSERVATION LANDS (layer name FLMA): This is a polygon data layer for public (and some private) lands that the Florida Natural Areas Inventory (FNAI) has identified as having natural resource value and that are being managed at least partially for conservation purposes. The term "Managed Area" refers to a managed conservation land.
