This dataset is comprised of three files containing northing, easting, and elevation ("XYZ") information for light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data representing beach topography and sonar data representing near-shore bathymetry of Lake Superior at Minnesota Point, Duluth, Minnesota. The point data is the same as that in LAS (industry-standard binary format for storing large point clouds) files that were used to create a digital elevation model (DEM) of the approximately 5.9 square kilometer (2.3 square mile) surveyed area. This data provides an estimated raster surface of dissolved oxygen values across a region covered by an August 23, 2016 AUV survey. The raster was generated by using a natural neighbors interplator within a GIS on the empirical data set. This interpolator was chosen due to the non-normal distribution observed among the data, and its ability to produce smoother approximations than alternative interpolation methods. There are three files available for download in the 'Attached Files' section below. There is a zip file which contains the interpolated dissolved oxygen surface, an xml file which contains metadata, and a layer file which can be used to import the layer's symbology.
The US Geological Survey Chesapeake Bay Watershed Land Cover Data Series, 2011 edition, (CBLCD-e11) consists of Level I Land Cover data for the years 1984, 1992, 2001, 2006 and 2011. It consists of a series of five 8-bit unsigned integer raster data files of 30 meter spatial resolution in Albers Conic Equal Area projection, NAD83 datum. The 1984 – 2006 data layers were created by aggregating most Level II Anderson classes of the USGS CBLCD Land Cover Data Series released in 2010 (Irani and Claggett, 2010).

Two identical Radar Stage Sensors from Forest Technology Systems, were evaluated to determine if they are suitable for U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) hydrologic data collection. The sensors were evaluated in laboratory conditions to evaluate the distance accuracy of the sensor over the manufacturer’s specified operating temperatures and distance to water ranges. This data set presents attributes of floodplain ecosystem characteristics including floodplain soil denitrification, floodplain soil biogeochemistry, floodplain vegetation, floodplain sedimentation, floodplain and channel morphometry, stream discharge and water quality, floodplain climate, floodplain physiographic region, and catchment land cover. Attributes are associated with 18 floodplains of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. For many of these attributes, mean values are summaries of multiple measurements made within each floodplain site.

This zip folder contains ASCII text files of vectors at the specified volcano at 12-hour intervals, from January 1, 1990 through December 28, 2009. The wind vectors are divided into five files, names by their elevation range above sea level in the atmosphere: 00-05km.txt; 05-11km.txt; 11-16km.txt; 16-24km.txt; and 24-30km.txt. The zip folder also contains a subfolder "figures", with Wind rose plots of wind direction and speed over this time period. The plots are by season, and by elevation, given a total of 20 plots (4 seasons, 5 elevation ranges). A summary plot is also included which gives the year-round wind pattern at the volcano, at 0-5 km elevation. Plots are in both jpg and pdf format.
Acetylene fermentation assays, nitrogen fixation assays, and growth studies were performed with Pelobacter sp. strain SFB93 and Pelobacter acetylenicus DSM3246. Data includes concentrations of acetylene and ethylene over time, and growth measured with OD680 and cell counts.
To improve our understanding of health and immune function in tortoises, we evaluated both standard blood diagnostic (body condition, hematologic, plasma biochemistry values, trace elements, plasma proteins, vitamin A levels) and gene transcription profiles in 21 adult tortoises (11 clinically abnormal; 10 clinically normal) from Clark County, NV, USA. Necropsy and histology evaluations from clinically abnormal tortoises revealed multiple physiological complications, with moderate to severe rhinitis or pneumonia being the primary cause of morbidity in all but one of the examined animals. These data contain concentrations of tetrachloroethylene in shallow groundwater samples collected in 2015 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These data are a subset of all the groundwater at the site. Samples were collected using direct-push technology. Only samples collected within the study area on 1 of the 10 sampling periods discussed in the journal article are included in this data set. The dataset contains Esherichia coli and quantitative polymerase chain reaction data for microbial source tracking markers in the Chattahoochee River and streams within the Chattahoochee River National Recreation area from samples collected in the winter and summer of the federal fiscal years 2016 and 2017. Six water samples were collected from three sites on the Chattahoochee River each season. Eleven stream sites and one additional site on the Chattahoochee River were sampled once each season, with the exception of two sites, which were not sampled in winter FY16.

This dataset consists of point cloud data collected in 2016 and 2017 of the lower and upper Scenic Drive landslide locations in La Honda, California. Point cloud data were collected in 2016 to establish baseline for movement detection of past landslides. Point cloud data were collected in 2017 adjacent and upslope of 2016 data to document a newly formed landslide. The data were collected with a Riegl VZ400 Terrestrial Laser Scanner and georeferenced using a Leica Viva GS15 survey grade GPS. Samples were collected from Willow Creek Lake approximately monthly during May through September by the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality as a part of the Ambient Lake Monitoring Program since at least 1989. Lake samples were analyzed for several constituents, including nutrients and chlorophyll. Though several different station identification numbers have been used over the course of monitoring, the general location of sampling corresponds to the deep site referenced in Rus and others (2018).
