These data are high-resolution bathymetry (riverbed elevation) and depth-averaged velocities in ASCII format, generated from hydrographic and velocimetric surveys of the Missouri River near Structure G0069 on Missouri State Highway 240 at Glasgow, Missouri, in 2011, 2013, and 2017. Hydrographic data were collected using a high-resolution multibeam echosounder mapping system (MBMS), which consists of a multibeam echosounder (MBES) and an inertial navigation system (INS) mounted on a marine survey vessel. Data were collected as the vessel traversed the river along planned survey lines distributed throughout the reach. Data collection software integrated and stored the depth data from the MBES and the horizontal and...
Geo-referenced two-dimensional velocity profiles collected at a single cross-section in the upper Sacramento River Deep Water Ship Channel. Data were collected over a range of river conditions, collected hourly for 30 hours, with four 30-hours studies collected over four consecutive weeks in July and August 2019. Data are available as .csv files contained in the attached .zip file.

From May of 2015 through September of 2018, velocity data were collected along 7 transects from select tributaries, embayments, and nearshore lake locations along New York's Lake Ontario waterfront in support of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and the Lakewide Action Management Plan. These data include: depth, velocity magnitude, velocity direction, navigational data, ADCP temperature, and channel profile.
These data are high-resolution bathymetry (riverbed elevation) and depth-averaged velocities in comma-delimited table format, generated from hydrographic and velocimetric surveys near highway bridge structures over the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers near St. Louis, Missouri, August 3–10, 2020. Data collection software integrated and stored the depth data from the MBES and the...
These data are bathymetry (river bottom elevation) in XYZ format, generated from the April 4-5, 2017, bathymetric survey of the Rolling Fork and Beech Fork near Boston, Kentucky. The bathymetry was collected from approximately 1.9 miles upstream from Kentucky State Highway 62 on the Beech Fork and approximately 1.5 miles upstream from Kentucky State Highway 62 on the Rolling Fork, to 2.6 miles downstream from Kentucky State Highway 62 on the Rolling Fork. Hydrographic data were collected using an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) with integrated Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS). Data were collected as the surveying vessel traversed the river, approximately perpendicular to the velocity vectors...
Discharge measurements and velocity mapping surveys were completed at select tie channels located at Nimz Ranch, on the main-stem Kootenai River. Tie channels convey water and sediments between the main river channel and river floodplain waterbodies. The velocity mapping surveys are used to document how the tie channels interact with the main-stem Kootenai River. Similar surveys will be conducted following project construction completion (after 2021). Velocity mapping provides data to support the flow split estimates in the tie channel reconnection. These mapping efforts are a quantitative assessment of the the tie channels role in altering drift, temperature, and floodplain storage. An acoustic Doppler current...
This child item dataset contains a shapefile of water velocity observations made by an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) during the 2018 survey, and includes measurements of water speed and direction along longitudinal transects of the Old Erie Canal. This data release contains spatial datasets of bathymetry, water velocity, water quality, and infrastructure of a 30.8 mile reach of the Old Erie Canal between the Town of DeWitt and its junction with the current Erie Canal of the New York State Canal System in Verona, near Rome, New York during 2018 and 2019.

These data are depth-averaged velocities measured by an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP), as well as continuous depth-averaged velocities from a stationary location measured with an acoustic Doppler velocity meter (ADVM). These data were collected from the July 12-14, 2022, survey of the Ashtabula River near Ashtabula, Ohio. The location of the ADCP data are from approximately 1,500 feet upstream from the Bridge Street bridge to 3,000 feet upstream from the Bridge Street bridge. The ADVM data are from approximately 41° 53' 46.4"N, 80° 47' 39.5"W. ADCP data were collected using an integrated global navigation satellite system (GNSS) smart antenna with submeter accuracy. The ADCP and GNSS antenna were mounted...
