This is the Original Product Resolution (OPR) Digital Elevation Model (DEM)of a topobathymetric model as provided to the USGS National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC). This DEM is delivered in the original resolution, with the original spatial reference as it was provided to the NGTOC. All elevation units have been converted to meters.

To support the modeling of the Colorado River water storage area capacity tables by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Utah Water Science Center in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Utah and Arizona, the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center has created an integrated 1-meter topobathymetric digital elevation model (TBDEM) for Lake Powell, the second largest man-made reservoir in the United States. Located in south-central Utah and north-central Arizona, Lake Powell is a reservoir on the Colorado River created by the flooding of a natural canyon by the construction of Glen Canyon Dam. The new Lake Powell TBDEM consists of the best available multi-source topographic and bathymetric elevation...

This data release is associated with the following Scientific Investigations Report: Root, J.C. and Jones, D.K., 2022, Elevation-area-capacity relationships of Lake Powell in 2018 and estimated loss of storage capacity since 1963: U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Report 2022–5017, 21 p., https://doi.org/10.3133/sir20225017. This dataset provides elevation-area-capacity relationships for Lake Powell derived from a topobathymetric digital elevation model (TBDEM) that was collected in 2017 and 2018. The TBDEM was modified (Jones and Root, 2021, available for download at https://doi.org/10.5066/P9H60YCF) from the originally published version (Poppenga and others, 2020, available for download at https://doi.org/10.5066/P9XX0J1Y)...

To support the modeling of storm-induced flooding, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Coastal National Elevation Database (CoNED) Applications Project has created an integrated 1-meter topobathymetric digital elevation model (TBDEM) for the Strait of Juan de Fuca, which is located at the outlet of the Salish Sea. The international boundary between Canada and the northwestern part of the United States bisects the strait. High-resolution coastal topobathymetric data is required to identify flooding, storms, and sea-level rise inundation hazard zones and other earth science applications, such as the development of sediment transport and storm surge models. The new TBDEM consists of the best available multi-source topographic...
