These data have been collected as part of a cooperative project in between the U.S. Geological Survey, Colorado Springs Utilities, and Colorado Springs City Engineering. This project began in 2005 and has collected macroinvertebrate samples from Fountain Creek and its tributaries to monitor the biological condition of this watershed. Provided in this data release are Multimetric Index (MMI) values of aquatic macroinvertebrate assemblages using four different sampling methods. These data were compiled as part of a larger study to evaluate post-stocking survival of hatchery-reared Roundtail Chub. We conducted a two year study (Dec. 2015 – Mar. 2017) in the upper Verde River at the Burnt Ranch stocking location near Paulden, Arizona. Young of year Roundtail Chub were acquired from the Arizona Research and Conservation Center in Cornville, Arizona. Passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags (BioMark, 12.5 mm 134.2 kHz FDX) were implanted into Roundtail Chub each year (n = 333, Year 1; n = 2177, Year 2) prior to stocking. Estuaries provide critical habitat for a vast array of fish and wildlife but are also a nexus for core economic activities that mobilize and concentrate contaminants that can threaten aquatic species. Selenium (Se), an essential element and potent reproductive toxin, is enriched in parts of the San Francisco Estuary (SFE) to levels known to cause toxicity, yet the risk of Se to species that inhabit the SFE is not well understood. We quantified Se concentrations in muscle, liver, and ovary of the demersal cyprinid Sacramento Splittail from six regions in the SFE at three time points (fall 2010-11, spring 2017) to evaluate Se exposure risk. eDNA-based spatiotemporal distribution data (occupancy model format) for rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus) within the Bruneau-Jarbidge Rivers Wilderness in southern Idaho and northern Nevada, USA. Data also include stream discharge and stream temperature data for each site. All data were collected between October 2015 and September 2016.
Call observation data from the Louisiana Amphibian Monitoring Program (LAMP). Each route has 10 stops. The routes are in one of 3 Louisiana regions (north, south and Florida parishes).
