This map contains:Aquatic Intactness results for the State of Utah and the Colorado Plateau Ecoregion, HUC6/12-Digit HUC resolution.Aquatic Species Intactness results clipped to 22 different species' distributions, showing the AI status/condition for each of these species of interest in Utah and the COP. An experimental Aquatic Intactness model for the Escalante subregion, which tests a methodology to incorporate detailed/specialized datasets available for only a portion of the study site into the model without penalizing no-data areas in the final intactness score. The Escalante experimental model utilizes two additional themes: riparian vegetation conversion and grazing impact. Unfortunately Grand Staircase National...

This map shows areas that have experienced fire between 1999 and 2010, including fire severity information where available. Determination of "change" due to fire is not possible due to the lack of highly accurate pre- and post-fire maps of vegetation conditions, and the wide range of possible interpretations of what constitutes a change. Instead, the focus was placed on mapping the location of fires and severity; the overall likelihood of significant change in short term vegetation conditions increases with fire severity. These data are provided by Bureau of Land Management (BLM) "as is" and may contain errors or omissions. This map contains:Terrestrial Intactness results for the State of Utah and the Colorado Plateau Ecoregion, 1 km resolution.Terrestrial Species Intactness results clipped to 15 different species' distributions, showing the TI status/condition for each species of interest in the COP.These datasets provide an estimate of current terrestrial intactness (i.e. condition) based on the extent to which human impacts such as agriculture, urban development, natural resource extraction, and invasive species have disrupted the landscape across the State of Utah and the Colorado Plateau Ecoregion. Terrestrial intactness values will be high in areas where these impacts are low.Documentation of model structure and input data and...

This map shows least-cost corridors and large natural habitat blocks. These blocks and corridors may provide an essential network for various species to disperse through the landscape. Blocks are based on large areas of contiguous natural vegetation cover, and are subdivided by major roads. We connected blocks using sticks (to define a pair of blocks between which to model corridors), and developed least-cost corridors based on a cost surface developed from land cover types. These data are provided by Bureau of Land Management (BLM) "as is" and may contain errors or omissions. The User assumes the entire risk associated with its use of these data and bears all responsibility in determining whether these data are...
