This data set consists of 59 wideband magnetotelluric (MT) stations collected by the U.S. Geological Survey in July and August of 2020 as part of a 1-year project funded by the Energy Resources Program of the U.S. Geological Survey to demonstrate full crustal control on geothermal systems in the Great Basin. Each station had 5 components, 3 orthogonal magnetic induction coils and 2 horizontal orthogonal electric dipoles. Data were collected for an average of 18 hours on a repeating schedule of alternating sampling rates of 256 samples/second for 7 hours and 50 minutes and 4096 samples/second for 10 minutes. The schedules were set such that each station was recording the same schedule to allow for remote reference...

Hydrodynamic and sediment transport time-series data, including water depth, velocity, turbidity, conductivity, and temperature, were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center at three locations in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Data were collected in Lindsey Slough in April 2017, and Middle River and the Mokelumne River in March 2018. Data files are grouped by location. At each of the three sites, data were collected at stations outside and within patches of vegetation, to determine how submerged invasive vegetation influences tidal currents and suspended-sediment concentration. The Table below shows the data types collected at each station, and classifies stations...

Hydrodynamic and sediment transport time-series data, including water depth, velocity, turbidity, conductivity, and temperature, were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center within two embayments of San Francisco Bay. Data were collected in San Pablo Bay and Grizzly Bay from January to June 2020 at seven locations. Data files are grouped by area (shallows of San Pablo Bay, channel of San Pablo Bay, and shallows of Grizzly Bay). Each shallow site contained a variety of sensors located on two tripods, while the channel site consisted of one tripod. Users are advised to assess data quality carefully, and to check metadata for instrument information, as platform deployment...
Since the 1940's, commercial, academic and government hydrologists have used aquifer tests to estimate the hydrogeologic properties of an aquifer near test wells. Results from these tests are recorded in various files, databases, reports, and scientific publications. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Lower Mississippi-Gulf Water Science Center (LMG) is aggregating all hydrogeologic aquifer test results from Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee into a single dataset that is publicly available in a machine-readable format. The hydrogeologic values presented in the Mar2022 edition of the LMG-Hydrogeologic Test Dataset were estimated by Douglas Carlson, PhD, with the Louisiana Geological Survey...

This dataset has been archived; it has been superseded by version 3.0 (November 2021) which can be found at https://doi.org/10.5066/P954DLLC . The data contained in this data release support USGS Scientific Investigations Report 2020-5023, "Distribution of selected hydrogeologic characteristics of the upper glacial and Magothy aquifers, Long Island, New York" (Walter and Finkelstein, 2020). This data release contains estimates of aquifer texture describing the Long Island aquifer system. These estimates in total can be considered a model of aquifer texture describing unconsolidated sediments in the following principal units: 1) Upper glacial aquifer, 2) Jameco aquifer, 3) Monmouth Greensand confining unit, and...
Conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) measurements made with a Sontek CastAway CTD instrument, collected in the Sacramento River Deep Water Ship Channel in July and August 2019. Measurements were collected at 5 points on the cross-section at Channel Marker 73, each hour for 30 hours, with four 30-hours studies collected over four consecutive weeks.

This dataset consists of 127 wideband and 21 long-period magnetotelluric (MT) stations collected from 2016-2019 across parts of Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Illinois, and Kentucky. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) acquired these data as part of regional investigations into the geologic and tectonic framework of the area and to support mineral resource and geologic hazard investigations. These data have been used to generate a 3D regional conductivity model of the area. Files included in this publication include measured electric- and magnetic-field time series as well as estimated impedance and vertical-magnetic field transfer functions. The data included here are for MT station rfr313 in the Reelfoot Rift survey...

These data are a part of the effort to map geologic substrates of the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary region off Boston, Massachusetts. The overall goal is to develop high-resolution (1:25,000) interpretive maps, based on multibeam sonar data and seabed sampling, showing surficial geology and seabed sediment dynamics. The work was conducted in collaboration with the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary, and the data collected will aid research on the ecology of fish and invertebrate species that inhabit the region. The Sanctuary's research vessel, R/V Auk, visited a total of 169 locations on Stellwagen Bank during three separate surveys from September 2020 to August 2021. During these surveys a customized...
