The 303(d) Listed Impaired Waters program system provides impaired water data and impaired water features reflecting river segments, lakes, and estuaries designated under Section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act. This map service contains GIS data in Web Mercator from the EPA Office of Water for the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) integrated with reach-related information from the USEPA Reach File Version 3.0-Alpha release (RF3-Alpha). This service also includes hydrographic landmark features in NHD. It is available as a WMS, KML, and REST service as well as the native MapServer service.

Updated EPA impaired waters data was combined with the data used in the 2011 COP REA by the Conservation Biology Institute. The three dataset types (point, line, polygon) were converted to raster (at 30m resolution) to facilitate coverage calculations across reporting units.
