Note: This data release has been superseded, available here: https://doi.org/10.5066/P9MYL7WJ This data release contains processed high-resolution multichannel sparker seismic-reflection (MCS) data that were collected aboard Humboldt State University’s R/V Coral Sea in October of 2018 on U.S. Geological Survey cruise 2018-658-FA on the shelf and slope between Cape Blanco, Oregon, and Cape Mendocino, California. MCS data were collected to characterize quaternary deformation and sediment dynamics along the southern Cascadia margin.

This data set includes: 1) A shapefile of the Humboldt Bay Eel River (HBER) 13 sub watersheds, 2) A shape file of the streamflow gages used in calibration, and 3) Daily Basin Characterization Model (BCM) model climate inputs (minimum and maximum air temperature, precipitation, and potential evapotranspiration) and outputs of recharge and runoff for the year 2010 used to develop streamflow estimates at 12 gage locations.

This data release contains monthly 270-meter gridded Basin Characterization Model (BCMv8) climate inputs and hydrologic outputs for Eel River (EEL). Gridded climate inputs include: precipitation (ppt), minimum temperature (tmn), maximum temperature (tmx), and potential evapotranspiration (pet). Gridded hydrologic variables include: actual evapotranspiration (aet), climatic water deficit (cwd), snowpack (pck), recharge (rch), runoff (run), and soil storage (str). The units for temperature variables are degrees Celsius, and all other variables are in millimeters. Monthly historical variables from water years 1896 to 2019 are summarized into water year files and long-term average summaries for water years 1981-2010....

Floating transient electromagnetic (FloaTEM) data were acquired on the Eel River during November 2018. During the survey, approximately 1.6 line-kilometers were collected in the Eel River, Falmouth, Massachusetts study area. Data were collected by members of the U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrogeophysics Branch, and New England Water Science Center. FloaTEM data acquired along the Eel River in Barnstable County, in Massachusetts, were collected to test a new continuous water-borne transient electromagnetic data collection platform, and to characterize the subsurface resistivity structure in support of a U.S. Geological Survey groundwater investigation of the Falmouth, Massachusetts area. FloaTEM data were collected...
