This EnviroAtlas web service supports research and online mapping activities related to EnviroAtlas (https://www.epa.gov/enviroatlas). The Clean and Plentiful Water category in this web service includes layers illustrating the ecosystems and natural resources that filter and regulate water, the need or demand for clean and plentiful water, the impacts associated with water quality, and factors that place stress on water quality and supply. EnviroAtlas allows the user to interact with a web-based, easy-to-use, mapping application to view and analyze multiple ecosystem services for the conterminous United States. Additional descriptive information about each attribute in this web service is located within each web...

This coverage is a spatial representation of most of the Pacific Northwest hatchery facilities in the StreamNet database. Information about the location of each hatchery was collected from StreamNet personnel at WDFW (Washington Dept of Fish & Wildlife), ODFW (Oregon Dept of Fish & Wildlife), IDFG (Idaho Dept of Fish & Game), and MFWP (Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks) and the tabular information about each hatchery in the StreamNet database was then added to each hatchery point in the GIS coverage

This data set contains polygons of urban development and roads within US DOD military installations in the ecoregion. Urban developed areas and roads were extracted from the 2006 NLCD, vectorized, and intersected with DOD military installation polygons. Attribute fields associated with the original DOD data layer were retained as-is.

A point dataset containing Census population data. This point locations in this dataset are the centroid of the polygon dataset of current community footprints in the SNK REA derived from the Tiger/Line File (see the process steps for details). (The TIGER/Line Files are shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) that are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). The MTDB represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line File is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined...

This dataset consists of summary data for potential landscape sources of per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). These summary items include facilities from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) PFAS Analytics Tools, which were pulled from its Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO), areas affected by fires (burned and urban burned areas) from Monitoring Trends in Burn Severity (MTBS), and landcover data from National Land Cover Dataset (NLCD) and Coastal Change Analysis Portal (C-CAP) around sites sampled as part of a National PFAS Tapwater Reconnaissance. These data are presented as a comma separated file, which includes summaries for all variables listed within a 5-kilometer buffer around each...

Each year the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports permit, location, and discharge information for facilities across the United States and its territories through the Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR). Because these data are cataloged through a variety of systems, including self-reporting, there are discrepancies that may lead to incorrect spatial interpretation of content in the database. The processing of this quality assessed and modified dataset included steps to evaluate the accuracy and potential limitations of DMR data between 2007 and 2019. Attributes within this tabular dataset include facility and outfall locations as well as confidence ratings for those locations, and hydrologic unit code...

This data set depicts the facility point features (i.e. gates, boat launches, blinds) at the Colusa National Wildlife Refuge in Colusa County, California. This facilties dataset was heads-up digitized using aerial imagery. Certain facility features (gates) were snapped to the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge Complex - Roads dataset.
