The Eagle airborne magnetic and radiometric geophysical survey covers parts of the Charley River, Eagle, and Tanacross quadrangles near Eagle, Alaska (fig. 1). Magnetic and radiometric data were collected with a fixed-wing aircraft May 24 to June 27, 2021 by MPX Geophysics LTD. A total of 26,926 line kilometers were collected covering 9,731 square kilometers. The magnetometer was mounted to a rear-facing fixed boom (tail stinger). The radiometric crystals were located in the cabin of the aircraft. The Eagle survey was flown with a line spacing of 400 meters (m) and a mean ground clearance of 330 m. The data, as well as additional metadata, are available from the DGGS website: https://doi.org/10.14509/30755. USGS...

Re-analyses of sample pulps and bulk rejects from historic USBM rock and heavy-mineral-concentrate samples were conducted by the Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) as part of the State of Alaska's Strategic and Critical Minerals Assessment project, which is designed to evaluate Alaska's potential for these resources. The objective of this resource assessment is to expand the state's geochemical database by obtaining and publishing modern, quantitative geochemical analyses for historic USBM samples, where available. Highlights of this re-analysis project include heavy mineral concentrates with up 7,220 ppm Sn, 5,870 ppm Cr, and 17,000 ppm Mn.

This data set includes tables providing location, environmental, vegetation, soils, and carbon sampling data collected in 2015 and 2016 at vegetation sampling units on restored areas and other habitats at sites in northeast Indiana, USA. "Sample_units.txt" provides location, environmental, soil physical and chemical properties for each sample location. "Subplot_ground_flora.txt" provides subplot estimates of cover for each ground flora species in each each subplot; "Plot_ground_flora.txt" provides plot-level estimates of cover for each ground flora species in each plot. "Woody_stems.txt" provides diameter at breast height measurements and height estimates for woody species with measurable diameters at 1.4 m. "Downed_wood_less_than_3_in_diameter.txt"...

Nutrients, such as nitrogen and phosphorus, are essential for plant and animal growth and nourishment, but the overabundance of bioavailable nitrogen and phosphorus in water can cause adverse health and ecological effects. It is generally accepted that major increases in the primary production of surface-water bodies due to high inputs of nutrients is now the most important polluting effect in surface water in the developed world. The Fish Creek watershed is located along the southwestern margin of the city of Jackson Hole. Fish Creek is an important water body because it is used for irrigation, fishing, recreation, and adds scenic value to the Jackson Hole properties it flows through. Recent U.S. Geological Survey...

Mineral-resources personnel from the Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) carried out a helicopter-supported geological and geochemical resource assessment project in the Beaver, Bettles, Livengood, and Tanana quadrangles from June 23 through August 5, 2012. The objectives of DGGS's resource assessment are to improve the trace-element geochemical coverage of selected watersheds; to obtain modern, quantitative geochemical analyses; to understand the petrogenesis of the granites; and to better document established mineral occurrences. Stream-sediment, pan-concentrate, and rock sampling were conducted as part of the State's Rare Earth Elements and Strategic Minerals Assessment project, which is...

The Porcupine River fixed wing aeromagnetic geophysical survey is located in eastern Alaska, along the Canadian border, in the Sheenjek and Black mining districts. This survey is located about 135 kilometers east of Fort Yukon, Alaska and about 85 kilometers east of Circle, Alaska. Magnetic data were collected with a Geometrics G-822A cesium-vapor split-beam sensor mounted in a tail stinger. Between May 5th and June 28th, 2017, a total of 50,329 line kilometers were collected covering 13,646.9 square kilometers. Data were collected at a line spacing of 300 meters (m) with a mean ground clearance of 235 m. The data, as well as additional metadata, are available from the DGGS website: https://doi.org/10.14509/29737....

The White Mountains airborne magnetic and radiometric geophysical survey covers parts of the Livengood, Circle, and Fairbanks quadrangles 25 kilometers north of Fairbanks, Alaska. Magnetic and radiometric data were collected with a fixed-wing aircraft June 30 to August 22, 2021 by MPX Geophysics LTD. A total of 36,933 line kilometers were collected covering 13,423 square kilometers. The magnetometer was mounted to a rear-facing fixed boom (tail stinger). The radiometric crystals were located in the cabin of the aircraft. The White Mountains survey was flown with a line spacing of 400 meters (m) and a mean ground clearance of 270 m. This data set contains information on detections of amphibians at four bottomland hardwood restoration sites in northeastern Indiana in 2015 and 2016. Amphibian communities were surveyed using four different methods—automated recording units, diurnal visual encounter surveys along transects, nocturnal transect surveys, and amphibian rapid assessments. The data set contains three tables: 1) site descriptions and bounding coordinates, 2) detections of vocalizing anurans (i.e., frogs and toads) recorded by automated recording units, and 3) detections of amphibians by diurnal visual encounter surveys, nocturnal transect surveys, and amphibian rapid assessments.
