Glacier National Park, Montana. Southwest flank of Boulder Peak. Thin lobe of scaly pahoehoe that has smooth, billowy surfaces and protruding toe. Pahoehoe toes can look very much like flattened pillows. However, nearly all pillows in the Purcell lava are associated with hyaloclastite breccia. The breccia is not found in conjunction with pahoehoe lobes and toes. 1982. Figure 35-A, U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 85-543.
