Glacier National Park, Montana. Southwest flank of Boulder Peak. Thin lobe of scaly pahoehoe that has smooth, billowy surfaces and protruding toe. Pahoehoe toes can look very much like flattened pillows. However, nearly all pillows in the Purcell lava are associated with hyaloclastite breccia. The narrow tongue of the glacier is cascading and much crevassed. There is a fine terminal moraine a short distance in front of the ice margin of the tongue and along the margin to the right.
