Multistate Aquatic Resources Information System (MARIS) published 20131201 - Georgia fish sampling records 1984-2010 Georgia Department of Natural Resources contributed data to MARIS from the Georgia Wade-able Streams Fish Index of Biotic Integrity Sampling program and from Georgia Standardized Sampling program. For Georgia Wade-able Streams Fish Index of Biotic Integrety Sampling, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources is engaged in a statewide effort to establish a fish index of biotic integrity (IBI) based on the state's five major ecoregions. The IBI consists of 13 metrics, and scoring criteria for the metrics are based on major river basin and watershed area as well as ecoregion. IBI scores are also reported to Georgia's regulatory agency for use in the Clean Water Act 305b/303d listing process. Data provided to MARIS...
