Mule deer within the Jackson segment of the Sublette herd winter mainly in the valley and south-facing slopes of the buttes. These geologic features are characteristic of the Jackson Hole area near Jackson, Wyoming. Winter ranges in the Jackson valley are a mixture of national forest public land as well as private urban and exurban land. The lower elevation, south-facing hillslopes are typified by stands of Juniperus scopulorum (Rocky Mountain juniper) or mixed mountain shrub communities of Artemisia tridentata (mountain big sagebrush), Artemisia tripartite (three-tip sagebrush), Purshia tridentata (antelope bitterbrush), Amelanchier alnifolia (Saskatoon serviceberry), Symphoricarpos albus (common snowberry), chokecherry,...
Moose in the Jackson herd make an elevational migration in the southern portion of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. This small herd of approximately 500 animals winters primarily in the Buffalo Valley just east of Jackson Lake. During migration, animals travel an average one-way distance of 33 miles, with some animals migrating as far as 67 miles. In the spring, most moose migrate north into the Teton Wilderness or the southern extent of Yellowstone National Park. Summer ranges consist of a mix of conifers and riparian habitats along the upper watersheds that flow into the Snake River. Nearly all moose in this herd are migratory, with the herd sharing a common winter range then branching out in the spring to summer...

To assess the effects of rotenone (fish toxicant) treatment and possible fish removal effects on nesting Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) populations, nests were observed at two reservoirs east of Ashland, Oregon. Hyatt Reservoir was treated with rotenone on October 12, 1989. Howard Prairie was observed as an untreated reference area. Nests at both reservoirs were observed two years pre-treatment (1988, 1989) and two years post-treatment (1990, 1992). The dataset contains Osprey reproductive parameters, foraging parameters, prey delivery rates and bald eagle piracy rates at eight intensively observed nests. Fish stocking records and creel data were obtained from the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife for both reservoirs...

This location is part of the Arizona Mineral Industry Location System (AzMILS), an inventory of mineral occurences, prospects and mine locations in Arizona. Pima249 is located in T14S R2E Sec 35 C in the Quijotoa Mts - 15 Min quad. This collection consists of various reports, maps, records and related materials acquired by the Arizona Department of Mines and Mineral Resources regarding mining properties in Arizona. Information was obtained by various means, including the property owners, exploration companies, consultants, verbal interviews, field visits, newspapers and publications. Using data from 288 adult and yearling female elk that were captured on 22 Wyoming winter supplemental elk feedgrounds and monitored with GPS collars, we fit Step Selection Functions (SSFs) during the spring abortion season and then implemented a master equation approach to translate SSFs into predictions of daily elk distribution for 5 plausible winter weather scenarios (from a heavy snow, to an extreme winter drought year). We then predicted abortion events by combining elk distributions with empirical estimates of daily abortion rates, spatially varying elk seroprevalence, and elk population counts. Here we provide the predicted abortion events on a daily basis at a 500m resolution for the 5 different weather...
Elk within the Jackson herd have been the focus of management for over a century. The herd, which numbers between 9,000 -13,000, winters in Jackson Hole. Most of the herd winters in the sagebrush basins and irrigated fields of the National Elk Refuge, with less than a quarter of the herd wintering in the Gros Ventre drainage to the east. Migrating animals travel an average one-way distance of 39 miles, with some migrating as far as 168 miles. The herd is partially migratory, containing both migrant and residents. In spring, the migrants move north on either side of Jackson Lake, into the eastern foothills of the Teton Range and into the upper drainages of the Snake River and the southern portion of Yellowstone National...

The Jackson moose herd inhabits an area 2,023 mi2 (5,239 km2) north of Jackson, Wyoming. The Jackson moose herd was historically abundant with a peak of 3,000–5,000 animals in the early 1990s. However, the herd underwent a dramatic population crash following the large counts in the early 1990s and continues to decline with an average count of 280 animals between 2016–2020 (Wyoming Game and Fish Department, 2022). The migrations of the northern portion of the herd were published in Kauffman and others (2020a). The southern portion of the herd, presented here, resides near Wilson, Wyoming. The southern portion of the herd is partially migratory. Many of the migratory moose move from lower elevation winter ranges along...

288 adult and yearling female elk were captured on 22 Wyoming winter supplemental elk feedgrounds and monitored with GPS collars during the brucellosis risk period (February – July) from 2007 to 2015. There were 4 to 64 individual elk per feedground and each elk was monitored for 1 to 2 years. Here we provide the unique identifier for each individual elk, the GPS location of the elk, the date/time stamp of the GPS location, and the feedground the elk was captured on in Wyoming.

This dataset represents the producing, dry holes, wildcat wells and wells that have other well type categories other than the ones mentioned previously in Louisiana. These wells were used to create gas and oil field polygons. The field polygons include discovery data, number of producing wells in the field, average measured depth of those well, total gas and oil production from 1977-2014, gas oil ratio (GOR), and field type. Also, included is a table with historic gas and oil production from 1977-2014.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) documented the extent of flooding along a reach of the Pearl River through the metropolitan area of Jackson, Mississippi following the flood event of February 10-26, 2020. The event was a result of heavy precipitation over a 72-hour period combined with pre-existing saturated soil conditions in the upper portions of the Pearl River basin. USGS streamgages 02482000 Pearl River at Edinburg, MS and 02482550 Pearl River at Carthage, MS recorded 8.2 and 8.6 inches of precipitation respectively for the period of February 10-13. On February 17, the Pearl River crested at USGS streamgage 02486000 Pearl River at Jackson, MS at 36.67 feet (ft) (270.06 ft North American Vertical Datum of 1988)...

We calculated mean adult and yearling female elk abundance for each Wyoming winter supplemental feedground subpopulation for data collected from 2009 to 2015. In addition, the average seroprevalence of brucellosis in elk attending feedgrounds was based on blood samples from adult and yearling female elk from 1993 to 2015. The sample size of disease tests and the number of years over which they were collected on each feedground are also listed. Serological profiles were categorized using the 2003 U.S. Department of Agriculture brucellosis eradication uniform methods and rules for cervids. These serological tests indicate whether or not an individual has been exposed, but not whether they are currently infected.
