This United States Geological Survey (USGS) dataset contains Darcy flux, ethylene dibromide (EDB) mass flux, benzene mass flux, toluene mass flux, ethylbenzene mass flux, and xylene mass flux measured in Albuquerque, New Mexico, using passive flux meters (PFMs) in the wells associated with the Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) Bulk Fuels Facility (BFF). The measurements were conducted by the USGS in cooperation with KAFB, the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, EA Engineering, Science and Technology, Inc. (an engineering consulting firm), and the University of Florida.

This data release is comprised of data compiled during the construction of monitoring wells at four sentinel well sites: Trumbull, Cesar Chavez, Southern, and VA. These wells are located in southeastern Albuquerque, New Mexico (Figures 1 and 2). Between March 2013 and April 2016, the United States Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority and the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center, installed 22 wells at four sites on and near Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB). The wells, installed in response to an aviation fuel spill that was discovered in 1999 at the Bulk Fuels Facility (BFF) on KAFB, were screened at varying depths in order to characterize the aquifer...

Data release to accompany the SIR: Potential effects of projected pumping scenarios on future water-table elevations near Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico (https://doi.org/10.3133/sir20235075). Data release includes the modified MNW2 files for the local-scale and regional model of the MODFLOW LGR-2 version of the updated Middle Rio Grande Regional model, published here: https://water.usgs.gov/GIS/metadata/usgswrd/XML/sir2019-5052.xml. The pumping scenarios used to modify the MNW2 files are based on proposed pumping scenarios published by the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority (ABCWUA, 2016). REFERENCE: Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority [ABCWUA], 2016, Water...
The purpose of this data release is to present well location and construction data for select wells representing the water table in eastern Albuquerque and the selected groundwater-level measurements at the wells from the winters of 2008 and 2016. Construction and groundwater-level measurement data include screening intervals at the water table, reference elevation, depth to water in feet and elevation, measurement data, and latitude and longitude. Well data have been collected from the USGS Groundwater Site Inventory, Kirtland Air Force Base, AECOM, Sandia National Laboratory, and the City of Albuquerque. This data release contains files of the data from 2008, the data from 2016, the data from sites with measurements...
